Do you want to have even more fun? Slap a Floyd Rose FRX tremolo on a Larry Carlton L7. I purchased the sunburst with humbuckers and just love the guitar.

I have a T-7 and an L-7. I like the T-7 but I love the L-7. I know it’s been said a thousand times but they are a lot of guitars for the money. As we all know he only frustration with Sire is waiting for them to arrive once you order one. Worth the wait though. :)

I've got four Sire's...an L7 gold with the humbuckers, a red T7, the S7FM blue (waited 11 months) and a newly acquired cherry sunburst H7V with the P-90's. Dang it, now I want an L7 with the P-90's also. That one sounds insanely phenomenal with you playing it. Love your channel Darrell!!

I agree with you 100% on this one. I went ahead and purchased this same Sire L7 to add to the collection and I have to say, It's probably the best deal I made in a long time. It plays great, the quailty of it overall is very impressing and I like others I love the neck. I highly recommend it. I just don't understand how they keep the price as low as they do, but it feels, and sounds like it could cost up to 3 times more.

Personally purchased two SIRE'S in the past week. One S7 and one H7. The S7 is a killer guitar with tone galore. The H7 is a solid white guitar with two humbuckers. Great looking guitar with body moldings that set off the white (color). Very LUCKY to get the ONLY two SIRE'S in stock at Sweetwater. Numerous guitars currently on-order. I bought the S7 in Champagne Gold Metallic last week and it's beautiful. Sounds, looks, and feels great. After watching this demo I may pick one of these up as well. Great demo as always Darrell.

@@cragginshred They come standard with Sire Premium locking tuners, so I haven’t had any issues at all with tuning. If you’re on the fence about this guitar, I’d say go for it. You won’t be disappointed 🤟🎸

I Say, that these so called; Mid-Range guitars would have been the Professional Models back in the 70s. and 80s. and would of cost a ton more: what a great time to be alive!!!!!

Just got my L7v. Amazing. Only weak point is the output jack plate. Nut won’t stay tight. After tightening, plate cracked. Replaced with metal one. Otherwise, fantastic!

Have the tobacco burst version, georgeous instrument. much thinner than a Les Paul and therefore really light! And those P90 sounding great! fretwork in general is great, But they spare on polishing them. They are a bit scratchy out of the box.

I just order my 6th Sire... I want one of every model... KILLER guitars! I love my "Goldie" with P-90's ... plays like a dream! Thanks' Darrell for the review, however, perhaps we should keep quiet about how good they are because everyone with want one and they will be even harder to get!!!

Well right there you know if they put a lot of focus on the neck then these guys at Sire know exactly what they're doing because that is 100% the most important part of the guitar. Looks like an excellent piece of work.

I have one of each, the H7v and L7v (lefties too!!!) . They are amazing for the price. The H7v compares really well with my 335 which I've had 30 years or so. The L7v is easily as if not more playable than my R6. If you're a p90 fan like me, they're awesome.

Someone on manufacturing process is certainly being robbed. I don’t see any other explanation. I can be wrong, of course. I hope I’m wrong because of someone is being exploited is almost certainly the workers.

@@jl_woodworks Well, Indonesia is surely not a paradise for shift workers. OTOH I guess that Sire has a lot of automation involved in the manufacturing process. So the prices are the result of a mix of mass production, automation and low worker's salaries. And Sire doesn't spend big money on advertising, but maybe a bit more on quality control.

I had the one with the humbuckers and I already loved that one. I needed an amp though so I sold it. Tomorrow this one with the p90s will arive and even though it's a B-stock one I am really looking forward to it.

I found an S7 demo floor model at GC, I'm ashamed to say how little I paid for it, because it was like new. It just needed a good setup, because it sounded terrible at first. But now this guitar is the best Strat style guitar I own! Great pickups, neck, locking tuners. Fender is asking $1,200 for the same specs! Not to mention Gibson in this case.

I wonder if these guitars are chambered? I have the t7 and love it. It needed a professional setup and it literally plays as good as any fender.

Hi Darrell, I bought the Charvel Pro Mod So Cal based on your review and I'm well pleased with it ! I'm stuck now between this Sire L7V and the Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02T for a P90 equipped guitar . . . I'm still leaning toward the Yamaha, any thoughts bud ?

I bought a Sire L7V (tobacco sunburst) earlier this week largely due to this review. Holy cow! This guitar would be a good buy at $2000. It's about as good as my much more expensive Gibsons, Eastmans, and Heritage. It's really hard to find anything to criticize or not be thrilled with. This is just an awesome guitar in every way.

Not too shabby for a $700.00 (U.S.) guitar. Sadly, the gold top is currently unavailable at the moment. I might just get one when they restock. Gotta love that warm P-90 sound.

I know it’s not a guitar, but I picked up Sire’s U5 short scale bass last year, aside from the super heavy tuners I had to replace with Hipshots, it’s a great bass, and the flame veneer is gorgeous! The stock pickups are noiseless, for a bass at this price level, that is unheard of.

I’m not a fan of the S7, I returned mine (I much prefer the Schecter Nick Johnston) and the T7 was disappointing and very heavy…but I own the gold top L7 and it’s a beautiful guitar. Would love those P90s!!

I own a black l7 with p90 and several v7 basses ... i 'm soo sired ahaha ... outstanding value n consistency ... they keep cost down because it's all done in-house as they have their own factory ... the qc is solid n you'll find very few people unhappy with what they get.... epiphone ...squier...even mexican fender have consistency issues ... hit n miss ... i 've owned several Sire instruments and the one i traded were fine too ... them p90 's are awesome ...don't need modding ... i owned a standard l7 n S7 and they were sweet too.. i got carried away and gassed too much .... seriously though ... Sire make not only back up instruments but real n1 in your arsenal... i only play Sire basses for gigging n have sold /traded fenders n sting rays just to make people understand the level they are at .... All of is purely on how incredible the value of these instruments can deliver ... SIRE !!!!!! YEEEEE

These Sire guitars seem like they are built by people who care. I would really be interested to see a factory tour video, with some employee interviews. I want to buy great guitars, but those made by people who are treated fairly.

There are a few vids/podcasts floating around with the founder. He started his own factory and and hired his own staff so he could ensure high quality. As his brand exploded he decided he would rather keep the quality high and have people wait than increase production and have the quality drop - which I can respect

I doubt that will happen, but look at Cortek and Cort Indonesia, to get a good idea of what's going on. Only bummer is 41mm nut on most of their guitars.

I’m not a bass player first, but still play live occasionally as a back up. I went with a Sire, and the quality is stunning. BUT…the pickup kind of sucked. If you have the know how, or don’t mind spending a little extra for the upgrade, these are an easy recommendation.

Why did i not get a Gigbag with mine? I have a L7V LH but alas no Gigbag, just a box with Larry Carlton on it. It's a thing of beauty though. I found them a bit Sitar sounding until plugged in. For the price though they are very impressive.
