Lovely heartfelt tribute by DM. I can remember watching Cyrille Regis playing for WBA and he was an absolute beast of a forward. Taken far too young at 59, RIP Cyrille.

Darren is loved by the Albion fans as much as Cyrille was, and its nothing to do with skin colour we loved them for the people they are.

When you get wonderful encouragement it's no wonder you become an encouraging leader yourself!

Lovely memories Darren and well expressed. That WBA side was one of my favourite teams of all time. In addition to Cyrille's great attacking skills, Laurie Cunningham was such an exciting and beautiful footballer to watch. I believe he was the first black players bought by Real Madrid where he won La Liga. Sadly lost far too young but, like Cyrille, left us with great memories.
