Nakhon Si Thammarat (นครศรีธรรมราช) is both a province and a city in Southern Thailand. It’s well off the tourist trail and is a destination that not a lot of people visit, however it’s a great city where you can get a taste of real Thai culture. It has some amazing Thai food and attractions that you can visit. And there is loads to do in the surrounding areas too - beaches, islands, national parks and waterfalls - it’s a beautiful part of Thailand!
In this video we’ll start on the 3rd day of my family’s recent holiday in Nakhon Si Thammarat, we’ll eat at some great restaurants, visit some attractions, beaches and a seafood market in Khanom.

I just love it when you and the b3 team hit the road and discover new hidden gems around Thailand. I would totally agree with the place you found in today’s video. beautiful beaches, towns, restaurants, resorts and most importantly not effected by western influences at all. A true Thai paradise where you can really relax, unwind and soak up the local culture, food etc. I’m looking very forward to next weeks video when you arrive in Koh Samui. THAT was the closest to paradise of any of your videos. Aorns icy chocolate had me drooling. ALL the food was mouth watering!!! Ananda is too young to realize what a dream life he is living, but he will have fabulous memories as he gets older

so fresh breakfast...love manta shrimp and green pepers.Massaman is so dark color there ; in all restaurants around Phuket/Khao Lak it was yellow...??

Yes, that massaman was very dark and it was also very thick. The massaman I buy here in Krabi is usually a light brown to orange colour. The hubby and I love to travel here in our state and act like we're tourists. We always find something new. Do you find it hard to get the western foods you like local to you? I really enjoy seeing that the Thai people eat what they like at each meal. No typical breakfastvonly foods it looks like. Great video hun. Keep up the great work and hugs to you all. I'm moving in with you... lol... I'd love to find a nights stay for $30.00. Not in the USA will you find that. But I've found another restaurant about an hour from my house called The Bayou in Monet, Missouri. They have frog legs, alligator, softshell crab, shrimp, oysters, catfish, crawdads or crawfish & stuff I can't remember. You can Google it & look @ there website. It's my new favorite place unless it's all you can eat shrimp night @ Red Lobster... lol... I could eat shrimp & never get tired of it. Thanks for sharing your videos. I love to see different or other kinds of foods. I've never tried curry before either. I live a sheltered life... lol.. Thanks, Chris

Koh Samui couldn't be further from this though! Chaeweng beach is a hellhole these days and its pretty western prices! BUT if you want some really good thai food,check out Kob Thai its near lamai, the food there was outstanding it was owned by a French man with a Thai wife when I last visited its really highly rated on tripadvisor, I had the prawns with glass noodles in a pot, they also did some really nice crab in dried curry! I couldn't recommend the place enough to be honest

Thanks for the recommendation Stephen, we'll check out Kob Thai next time we're on Koh Samui. Yes, Koh Samui is very different to this area. We didn't spend very much time in Chaweng, when we researched Koh Samui we thought Bophut sounded more like what we were looking for, and we liked it there. And yes some stuff in Chaweng was at around western prices, I had my most expensive beer ever in Thailand on Chaweng Beach, but we found some reasonably priced stuff in Chaweng away from the beach. Ahh I forget your videos are behind abit in time, wish I told you sooner it really is one of the best restaurants Ive eaten at in Thailand on 5 visits, would have loved to have seen a true thai foodies opinion on it and seen if it matched up to mine! Safe travels my friend

It sounds like food is cheap in Finland, lucky you. We can eat much cheaper when we cook at home, but when we are away on holidays we like to treat ourselves a little :)

Nah we got very expensive food here. That's why i am so shocked. My father lives in Thailand Phuket. He has been there for years. I am coming to visit too as soon as possible. I just got some health problems 5 years now.. I can't wait to get there to taste all the foods :)

Do you eat anything vegan, just kidding . I eat all those delicious foods you show, but health reasons I changed to vegan, my thai wife makes all the thai food vegan for us and it's still delisous even mud fish vegan plant base and taste same. Thanks
