I like to think Kreia would have a bit of a soft spot for someone like Vader since he was treated like crap by the Jedi Order and then The Sith/Palps turned him into some hulking monstrosity of hatred and self-loathing.

Wow. I expected this to be really awkward and not realistic, but this honestly sounds like a conversation that would fit into a Star wars movie, or a Star wars game.

Well done. Honestly, I'd love to see Kreia having philosophical conversations with the likes of Revan, Bastila, Yoda, Jolee Bindo, Qui-Gon Jin and Grand Master Luke Skywalker (of their Legends).

I would love to see Kreia talk to Luke (Legends). He became what she wanted to train Meetra to become in that cut ending where she helps you remake the Jedi Order to be more human. Luke also abides by Kreia's philosophy on redemption. You gain influence and light side points by telling her that Ajunta Pall deserved redemption if he was seeking it, and she is happy to see you attempt to redeem her both in the cave on Korriban and at Malachor V. Luke was this exact kind of Jedi in the old continuity. He didn't force his teachings onto people, and didn't exclude anyone from joining his academy. Elderly people could be accepted as students, Jedi were encouraged to love and to explore the galaxy, and NO ONE was beneath redemption. I think Kreia would respect that because it shows a willingness in Luke to defeat his enemies on a philosophical level first before resorting to defeating them in combat. Kreia would have thrived at Luke's academy and would have been a valued teacher like Vima-Da-Boda.

I’m pretty happy with this. I also think there’s a lot to unpack here and I’m going to try to list some of it while probably leaving a lot out. Kreia’s best hand to play was via manipulation and a mostly passive approach. She would be very familiar with how Sheev used Anakin towards his agenda against the Jedi Order; while managing to hide in the shadows out of their sight until the time was right. Much of her plan was the same, she only made herself visible to the Jedi when it was quite clear that they would be unable to stop her by then. She saw the ‘hubris’ of the Jedi Order firsthand - how self righteous and arrogant the Council’s judgement was in their trying to assess the threat they faced. Just like in Sheev’s case, the mechanics behind the fall of the order were way beyond the purview of Jedi Masters like Vrook or Windu. It could be argued that Kreia viewed Vader the same way Sheev did: as a powerhouse to mass against the Jedi and to break into submission upon completion of that task. It could also be argued that the only reason Sheev’s success was more tangible lay in “Rule of Two”. Sheev wasn’t part of a triumvirate where the other two Sith could turn on him as happened to Kreia. This rather short exchange between our two famed characters could also be evidence of that. Kreia recognizes Vader and his exploits because they’re not far off from what she would have done in Sheev’s place. Vader’s essentially a blunt instrument to be used accordingly at this point. She’s probably found her way into his head and figured everything out before they started speaking to each other. But there’s another topic to consider: Kreia hates the Force. Vader? He’s a broken form of what once was a child of the prophecy - conceived by the Force to “bring balance” to it. Kreia hates the idea of the Force having a Will of its own - that fate and the Galaxy is basically its sandbox for anything to happen. In this case, it also created a life to carry out its will. Not only is ‘all life touched by the force’, but now there’s something spawned from its Will and that probably would make her uneasy. Possibilities like this happening are why she sought the death of the Force. She’s critical while also sympathetic to Vader - he was a prodigal child bred into servitude of either the Force or someone who’s agenda was to control it - as part of Sheev’s goal was. I should clarify one or two things below: -Kreia and Sheev did not have the same endgame in mind. I am not suggesting that. Merely that their mechanics behind reaching their goals were similar which led to her understanding Vader as easily as she did. -I am not demeaning the dynamics of Anakin/Vader’s arc. Rather I’m trying to extrapolate how someone like Kreia would have viewed him and why we listened to the exchange in this video. I enjoyed this and I hope this circulates to other Star Wars KZfaqrs as I believe it warrants quite a discussion.

I just love what Kreia is, I don't think I shall ever meet more remarkable character in art. The genuine unique creation. There is just everything perfect with her - lines, psychological portrait, voice acting. KOTOR II was not about either fights or action, but all about dialogues and phylosophy. Im not a native language speaker so during my first playthroughs I never really bothered about plot, and only close to my thirties after I had drastically improved my understanding of english I finally decided to play an untranslated version. Only then I realized what a fine masterpiece that game is. Although I played a lot of games I just can't reminisce any better one. And that is not mentioning that KOTOR 2 was released with a lot of content cut out.

Vader's power wasn't inhibited by his cibernetics but rather by his memories, so long as someone reminded him of his past he could not use the full might of the dark side and thus he was not a sith but a broken man. This was something Sidious knew as well and it really validates Kreia's vision of strength.
