A couple tips… pressing that button in a different sequence (should be in the instructions) will give you the effect at the tip of the blade as if you’re cutting open a door or dragging it along the floor. Also, if you leave the crystal in the hilt long enough while it’s powered on, the crystal will glow red for a little bit when you take it out (same tech as the Eye of Agamotto and the Iron Man Nano Gauntlet).

That's badass! ME WANTS! I have the shop Disney DV Legacy lightsaber, I dig it, but it's not as responsive or bright as this one. This is available on Amazon for $259, so I put it for "save for later", lol.

Got mine ordered to the UK. I have the first Black series version of Vader which I love, but this looks like a fantastic upgrade. Good to see Hasbro offer removable blade options too! Great video and review. I love how you used red handled scissors to unbox it too. Keep it Sith 🤣

@@aDudesNerdery you say that now… the other sabers in this line are so cool. I honestly can’t pick a favorite. My favorite hilt it Obi-Wan’s last one as it’s one of the most ergonomic to hold.

The Elite Sabers are Super Cool. The extra effects really take them over the top. We reviewed Darth Sidious Force FX Elite last year. You gotta think Galaxy’s Edge is gonna offer an upgrade package to provide Elite blades in the near future. Great Review Bro! Super Fun to Watch!

8:38 I’m the same with you, it makes more sense if you just only get 2-3 lightsabers based on your favourite characters that’s a sith, Jedi and 3 if you’re a Mandalorian fan as well you know what I mean.

Great point! I think less is more here, only have 2 and really enjoy both vader and obi-wan. If Luke's goes on sale, I would consider that one too. Thanks for watching!

Nice - definite upgrade on the previous versions. I like the clash effect, but I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to be banging them together to try it out!

Gotta hand it to Hasbro. Looks to be an almost exact replica of the prop used in Empire Strikes Back. If one disguises the screws on the grip and recolors the wires it could serve as OT display piece.

This is actually missing quite a bit of details to be ESB. But the wires are colored accurate for ESB.

@@jeremydrew1227 On closer inspection it seems to be missing the two tiny screws placed opposite of one another under the emitter shroud and of course the E,S, and B engravings in the openings where the wires go through. Anything else?

I hear people complain its not heavy enough.... Wouldn't that mot be practical if it were heavy?! I feel like a lighter weight will make it easier to maneuver.....also, lighter doesnt mean its cheaper in every case!

Feels like mostly plastic with metal, it's about half the weight of my galaxy's edge saber.

Great, I received mine today and I was wondering what for the tiny black screw is (beside the on/off switch?). Wasn't there a thingy attached on the original light saber?!

I'm not sure if there is a difference. The screw is for the battery case that slides out underneath. It does have a belt loop clip on it

@@aDudesNerdery Thanks for your reply! I mean the tiny screw at 7:17 in your video (right beside the on/off switch. In my package was nothing that I could attach on that screw. What about your saber?

@@romankorya I have the exact same thing with mine. I found it odd that there was a screw, with nothing to attach to it. Compared to the GE Darth Vader lightsaber, there appears to be a wedge-shaped piece that looks to be a toggle switch. But after seeing several other images (even the promo shots from Hasbro), it would appear as though there is nothing (from Hasbro) to attach. I even contacted Hasbro, sent them pictures comparing to other sabers, and they told me to ship it back, and they would replace it with an item of equal value (if an exact replacement was available). Being a limited and what will be a highly sought-after collectible, I decided to not risk sending it back.

I saw in another review that if you swing the blade hard it will randomly activate the clashing noise without actually clashing. Is that true?

I find it kinda odd you can't leave the kyber in hilt with blade. Also when I get mine next week I may color the crystal red with a permanent marker or something 🤔

I just found out that the kyber will light up red if you leave it in the saber with the saber on. It charges after a few mins, then remove without turning it off. It glows red. It's cool, but wish it had a switch instead for display. Let me know what you think when it arrives, I love that saber. Thanks for commenting!

Ya, but when the blade is out and you will take it out to display the hilt. That’s when the Lynette goes in so no biggie. I think your spot on with the marker. Perm sharpie works great to color stuff on hilts. I have a parks hilt that have the rotj light up arrows. But the arrows are clear when not lit. I used green and red sharpies to color them. You’d never know it looks great.

FX. I played around with a few in Oct at disneyland. They felt cheaper, were lighter weight and don't have the same amount of effects on the saber blade. I do love the one I built at galaxy's edge, it's much better quality than the character lightsabers.

@@aDudesNerdery I have this same saber and I love the chrome ring and the glow from the crystal when inside but one quick comparison short showed the legacy hum much louder than bs fx. I’m torn if I should keep this or get the legacy so I’m waiting eagerly for the comparison video. Could you say which is your favorite overall?
