Great ! A new series, based on the book of Wayne Barlowe (with one of the greatiest illustrations of all time) "Expedition" (1990) and it's adaptation documentary "Alien Planet" (2005) which are perfectly complementary to each other despite certain script elements only between the book and the documentary. This video is good and is like the other video about speculative evolution and/or real animals creatures presentation. It's a good introduction to this universe. For me, I see many time the documentary on th net and I never found it boring with every viewing. I have always enjoyed and I still appreciate the documentary today which has not aged at all, and this even if I know it almost completely by heart. As for the Japanese stop-motion documentary adaptation of the book "After Man" by Dougal Dixon, the docufiction does not include all or most of the creatures presented but those which are the most memorable and charismatic, like the Bladderhorn precisely. Anyone who has seen the documentary will remember it for a long time, oh yes :) ;). Anthony, it's again a good video. Nothing more to say even if we regret that the series does not bear the title neither of the book nor of the adaptation of 2005 to refer to those who do not know the universe. But it is an easily acceptable and forgettable element / disadvantage. I can't wait for more!

Dudot Olivier Thank you very much for this comment. Though I was given the DVD "Alien Planet" as a gift by my best friend, I had no idea that it was based on the book "Expedition" by Wayne Barlowe: In fact, this is the first time that I have heard of this book. Furthermore, I, also, had no idea that the Japanese had made a film of "After Man," a book that I do own. Yours is a very good and informative post.

Your computer voice is too fast and does not pause in between sentences making this uncomfortable if not impossible to watch. Such a shame because it's good content.

I don't know if you'd know this, but the name of that planet would be "Darwin 4", for "IV" is Roman Numerals for the number 4.

@@chissstardestroyer I’m sure he typed “IV” into the script and the computer voice said “IV” of course somebody who makes educational videos knows it’s supposed to be 4. Even if he left it as “IV” is it a problem? Did it make the video any less entertaining? He does an amazing job with the videos and I’m glad he puts them out. Not worth the nitpicking.

@@heyguysElliashere Not so much, but every single detail is vital; and somebody had to be reading the script, not a computer... they don't have that power. Furthermore, somebody has to program the machines, and nobody seems to realize it when people will trust machines with their very souls, as sadly happens all too often.

i really wanted to enjoy this video, but halfway through, the voice you use does not recognize full stops. This makes me, being a non-native english speaker, impossible to watch. Why are you self sabotaging your channel? The content is great, and the quality of it so high, but with that reading thing not working, it is not worth viewing.
