Agreed. My only suggestion would be leaving out the bits where you're coming back for the camera - they break the fourth wall, for me at least.

Lucky you with such beautiful weather on top of Nevis. The locals say the peak is not covered in clouds on only 10 days a year. When I went up it was 34°F, raining and 70mph wind

If you ever get the opportunity to come back to Scotland again, have a little look at the Cape Wrath Trail, it's touted as the Uks toughest and it is stunning!

Theres the cambrian way that goes north south through wales high national parks,snowdonia brecon beacons etc, ive heard it said its beautiful and probably tougher than cape wrath :) both great trails to accomplish :)

Ahhh, man your weather was SO much better than my visit. I had cloud and mist and rain as soon as the rocky terrain was reached. Beautiful views you got there! Absolutely loving your footage.

Beautiful video Darwin! Love this style, well all of your videos are great. This took me back to last September when my BF and I spent a week in the Highlands and hiked up Ben Nevis! It was cold on top too, but no snow (we had that in March on Scafell). Thanks for sharing 😀 Cheers

I like the way you are playing with time in the editing. Slowing some stuff down, speeding some stuff up (like the swing bridge), chopping up the time lapse. It flows very nicely. You are doing a great job!

You were very, very fortunate to get such a clear view on top of Ben Nevis, it is well known for having its head up in the clouds. It’s a phenomenal view up there. Your efforts were rewarded..... if you like a wee bit of scrambling, and stunning views, consider the Cuillin Ridge on the Isle Of Skye.....

Great video as always! Scotland is a beautiful place. You will have to try out the England's Wainwrights Coast to coast. You will do some awesome climbs in the lake district

Nice one Darwin, Ben Nevis was the one that got me hooked on hiking back in 2008 and I haven't looked back. 😁 My last YT film from 2 weeks ago, I was hiking in the same area as the bridge at 7:20 in. Cheers Robin

Professional filming, interesting and appealing flow in the editing. I actually like you breaking the fourth wall, adds a bit of self-consciousness to the vid and serves as an acknowledgment that this is made by a human being. Answering your question, no, Mt. Whitney is (of course) the Ben Nevis of the USA!

Very lucky to get a view from the top of Ben Nevis, 3 times I've been up there and haven't seen a view yet. The 1st time I had to spend the night in the refuge a unexpected blizzard came in cutting visibility down to less than a metre.

Ah Ben Nevis 1981 we had 120km/hr winds the night before we arrived and it blew down all our tents on a Contiki Tour....we ended up in the gymnasium of a community centre in town....went beer sculling...had a great night :)

Hello Darwin, You need to put your shutter at 180°. If you cannot set it directly in your camera, you just have to put it 2 times your fps. For example, if you shoot at 30fps, your shutter should be at 1/60s. It will naturally smooth your footage. Because when you pan, it "stutters" a lot. Sorry for my bad English, cheers from France ! :)

I love the North American continent for it's wilderness and wildlife, but I bet it is really relaxing not having to worry about bears, wolves, rattlesnakes and Bigfoot. Good video.

Ìm planinng on walkkning the west highland way in late May. My mom keeps telling me to bring waterproof boots, I see you wearing trailrunners like on your American Thru-hikes. Is the climate still good enough in Scotland for your trailrunnres to dry overnight? Should i consider bringing trailrunners instead of boots?

I know somewhere you gave your dates in Scotland but cannot remember where. Date of filming along with date published of said film would be nice. In all videos date of filming would give one an idea of the weather and conditions at the location of the film.

Did you have any trouble getting the stove on the plane? Did you tell the airline you had it? Which airline?

@@professorsogol5824the stove is not the issue, but the gaz canister is forbidden with any airline and has to be bought locally, and abandoned before flying back

Nope... actually Warm as hell while I was in Scotland. I brought a stove just to switch thing up. Good to try different things from time to time.
