I drive that intersection every day. There's no traffic light on the left side of the road on the far end of the intersection, so people often see the person ahead going and are too dumb/absorbed in their phone to notice the lights being red, so they just drive on through following the leader

I'm amazed at how far the locals let that flood. Chuck a pair of stout boots on when you see a blocked drain and kick the leaves and stuff off the top. It soon clears. It may still flood, but nowhere near as bad. (See "Post10" on KZfaq for extensive training videos.)

@@gaijininja Well it wasn't nice for him to create waves like that where it would flood someone's house, but it's actually the proper way to get a vehicle through deep water- at the right speed you get a "bow wave" which rides ahead of your vehicle and leaves lower water behind it where your vehicle is at. Study that clip and you'll see what I'm speaking about.

@@turtlesoul The guy has a snorkel fitted and has a very good idea about what speed to drive at and where he can and cannot drive, he's not just using this thing for dropping kids off to school, he's clearly into this stuff and has the right equipment and experience. People who buy 4x4's to take their kids to school in and think they can drive through floods without the proper equipment fitted and experience are the ones you end up seeing on the news climbing out of their car to swim for it as it floats away after hydrolocking.

Especially when there’s a new set of lights 20mtrs away lol. You can tell I’m not from there. I just dawdle in the slow lane, and no matter what I some how always end up in front of the dickheads that over take me to prove how slow I’m going anyway 😅 Sorry wow. Going off on a tangent, Melbourne's traffic light system (if you can call it that) is complete balls... I guess it's just city driving I suppose. The bigger the city, the less patient drivers are.

I remember a few year back walking home from the pub with my girlfriend and we heard the loudest noise ever and it was a thick as fuck gumtree splitting in half from the weight of it's branches and hitting the floor like a building collapsed. I recognized what appeared to be several US-spec cars in there, usually your version had different styling or trim. If I'm right, those cars must have cost a fortune to ship halfway round the world. My condolences to you for the loss of Holden, they did some great cars but you almost never see any here.
