Dash in the boat

For those commenters who think Dash was trying to flee the boat, clearly he's not terrified. He chooses to get on the boat before we go fishing and then swims back when he's ready to go in.

Love when kitties do that head rubbing thing with people. Marking their territory. A message to other cats, "This is mine! Keep away!"

The commenters on the other video didn't know what they were talking about. Dash is probably the happiest cat on the planet!! It looks beautiful there too :)

What an amazing cat to get to grow up with! I had a cat as a kid named Duchess who was so mellow, she let us dress her up in doll clothes, push her around in a baby buggy and loved chips, ice cream, anything we ate. She was the gentlest, smartest and sweet soul who we were privileged to have as a furry sibling. She’s been gone 20 years but we still reminisce and think of her often. She’s at rest under the flower bush we planted in her memory in the backyard of my childhood home that my parents still own. Dash I’m sure will be remembered fondly by your son and family years from now.

This is going to sound gross but I should have looked into taxidermy when mine passed, I got her when I was selling raffle tickets door to door in elementary school, I brought her home in a paper bag, she was born in the 70's, lasted all through the 80's, and passed halfway into the 90's, she outlasted both my grandparents, who actually took care of her because we lived in an apartment and they lived in a house, since 1937 actually, but I thought it was going to be way too expensive so I didn't even bother checking, it turns out for a cat it was only a couple hundred bucks, I wish I had, I'd still have her to this day, I'd still be able to pet her, still kiss her on the head goodnight, like she wouldn't be rotting in the ground like she is now. I miss you spotty. (who the hell is cutting onions?)

I'm betting he is never far away from his peeps. I have a Korat and she is rarely more than 5 feet away from me regardless of what I'm doing unless she's sleeping. when she wakes up she finds me immediately. Some cats form very tight bonds with humans, and others not so much. I'm pretty sure that my cat, Chibi, would follow me onto a boat without any hesitation.
