Guys, I was wrong about the kilohearts Reverb, it is actually sick...
In this episode I apologize to the gods for shaming the glorious name of the kilohearts Reverb,
and talk about some spicy reverb techniques to fine-tune your sounds. Hope you enjoy!!

Yeah, I love their reverb; it sounds very realistic, but I'm going to watch the video anyway; there is always a lot of things to learn from them.

Hello bro :) Your content is great and I watch all of your videos. Can you please make a video talking about acoustic treatment for bedroom producers that is affordable? Also what do you think about the Tannoys Gold 5 studio monitors? Thinking of buying them. Thank u :)

I’m up to day but it takes me about 2 weeks with current schedule to finish a video and post it with Patreons etc 😃

@@DashGlitch Ahhh that explains it. I forget how much time it can take to actually 1. Come up with an idea 2. Execute and record that idea 3. Edit it and to later decide that the idea sucked so you re-do everything while bashing yourself for not doing it right in the first place. So you repeat step 1 to 3 again. (Step 3 might not apply to you though, except for editing, but it would for me haha)

alexnieto12345 What do you want to know? Almost all of his tutorials are for external VST and a lot of the things Dash does in Cubase are quite simple to replicate in Live. :)
@BappinProductions
@BappinProductions 4 жыл бұрын
@@lilDaveist while that is true, replicating stuff from other DAWs in Live is kind of self-defeating as Live is actually quite shitty in terms of standard workflow that is found in DAWs like Cubase, Logic, S1 etc. To get the most from Live (and by extension Bitwig), you really need to play to it's strengths by using Racks, abusing the warp modes, using Follow Actions in Session View, Max4Live and so on. Live is the Fisher Price of DAWs for audio editing, arrangement and mixing and that's coming from a long time and proficient Live user, whose switched between Logic, Cubase (twice) and Studio One.

@@BappinProductions Couldn't have said it better myself. +1 on the Fisher Price reference. Can concur on that one. (Also, had a laugh at that reference! :) )

Haha no, I guess I just overlooked the power of the 'modular' effects system

You wasn't wrong. I am a Kilohearts user and I love Phaseplant and the modular concept with Snapheap and Multipass. The problem is that there are many insufficient modules. And the reverb is one of them. Of course there are better plugins from specialized companies. But you should have at least something like a DAW standard.
@DashGlitch
@DashGlitch 4 жыл бұрын
I've heard worse Reverbs in DAWs though, with fancy looking interfaces and triple the CPU usage. It's not that it's bad, it just doesn't have the controls as others, but hopefully this video helps with that :)
@TheRheinprinz
@TheRheinprinz 4 жыл бұрын
@@DashGlitch This has nothing to do with the controls. The algorithm is bad.. You cannot control what is not there. What good is a good performance if the reverb sounds bad?

@@TheRheinprinz Hey, I'm very curious about this and haven't been able to find good info. Could you please explain to me why the algorithm is bad? Could you also give an example of a plug in that does have a good algorithm and explain why? Thanks
@TheRheinprinz
@TheRheinprinz 3 жыл бұрын
@@jannes8686 If you compare this build in reverb with Valhalla Vintage Verb and his different modes and settings, you will never use such a crap one. VintageVerb is on another level. I think the modular concept of Kilohearts is great. But unfortunately the modules are not. There are better external modules in every area.

@@TheRheinprinz The deeper VVV is $50 USD while the basic "snap-in" Kilohearts Reverb is currently free. They're 2 completely different animals so yours is a silly comparison in the first place.
