Data Mindfulness: Making the most of your dissertation.
4 (of 8). Dealing with literature.
This video outlines what a literature search is, why doing a literature review is necessary, and suggests three tips to help make the literature search process easier.
This 8-part introductory course was created especially for undergraduate students by the Research Data Service at the University of Edinburgh. Candela Sanchez, a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, provides a guide to dissertations along with guidance and tips to help you make the most of your final dissertation project.
The course is structured following the journey you will go through, from thinking of a research question, to conducting a literature search, to managing data (whichever form this takes), to writing up, and dealing with your dissertation data after submission.
These videos are designed to work well alongside the 'Data Mindfulness: Making the most of your dissertation' handbook, which you can access here:

We hope you find these resources useful! Best of luck with your dissertation! And have fun!
