Once in a while a genius comes along. Dave Allen one. I grew up watching him. I loved him then and still, love him now. Sadly, we shall never see anyone else with his genius. Thank you so much, Dave, for the laughter, the truth you spoke and the wisdom you gave through the laughter.

well...i'm from the states and we watched him growing up...to me he IS a legend but far too many people don't remember him and that is a shame...he was brilliant and as good a comedian as ever lived in my opinion...thanks for posting

Dave Allen is part of my childhood. Hilarious. I remember watching his programme with my father. So tragic he died so young at 68!!

One of the best. My dad didn't like him much. I had to be covert in watching him as a child. I spilt my sides still, watching him in videos like this one.....RIP Dave.

Its the way he delivers his dialogue which marks him out from the rest, the icing on the cake is the strength of his materiel. Genuis

Saw him live donkeys years ago not only was his TV show hilarious but on stage he was a master of his craft.
