This is section I recently got off of my VHS tape at home and I can say that it's the reason I ride a bike today. RIP Dave. I am not making any money off of having this video on my channel, it's just for entertainment purposes.

Dude Dave was so amazing and the fact that he ended his own life is to me one of the saddest fucking things. RIP man you were a trailblazer for BMX and were just an amazing rider and person you will being extremely missed in the BMX community and many others as you did so many different things

I'm so glad someone has finally uploaded a clip from this wonderful video. I used to have it on tape about 16 years ago and it's definitely one of the reasons I first started riding. To me,this was a magical time to ride BMX,where it was so relaxed and fun. Thanks so much for uploading maybe the rest will follow?... ☺

those huge handlebars in big sprockets that design on bikes had to have made it very hard to ride

Sam Shepherd they were not hard to ride or do tricks with

Yes they were definitely harder to ride than today’s bikes. I can hop whip or 360 today no problem just because the bikes are not 40lbs with crazy geometry anymore. Worst was the weights, geometry not that bad, but didn’t help either.

Heavy bikes back then for sure. Was the first thing I noticed about modern bikes after I stopped riding in 02, it was weird picking up a modern bike... So light. Deffinetly, the equipment has changed tremendously.
