Dave's Combat story appearance with Ryan Fugit
(Original Air Date- 12/04/21)
Check out Ryan’s channel Combat Story:
/ combatstory
Today we hear the Combat Story of David Parke, a former Army Ranger and Sniper Team Leader, Navy diver, and Paramilitary Contractor, who spent almost 10 years in Iraq and Afghanistan post-9/11.
During his time down range as a contractor, he earned the ODNI’s National Intelligence Medal for Valor, which the ODNI describes as being given “in connection with an Intel Community mission to national security” and awarded on a “highly selective and rare basis.”
David now co-hosts The Team House, which livestreams interviews with special operators, intel professionals, and more. I’m a big fan of the Team House and you can check out our Combat Story interview with David’s co-host Jack Murphy (Episode 13 • Combat Story (Ep 13): ... ).
David has written two books and appeared in several TV shows as an actor. I hope you enjoy this Combat Story with another battle-tested fighter as much as I did.
David also wrote the book "Coach with Courage: A Practical Guide for Overcoming Your Fear and Supercharging Your Coaching Practice" and co-authored "Counseling People who have Killed Other People: A Guide for Professional Counselors and Social Workers". He’s also appeared in several TV shows as an actor.
Today, David works in the corporate intel space, consulting and advising clients on how to mitigate risks in a variety of domains. I hope you enjoy this Combat Story with another battle-tested fighter as much as I did.

Glad Dave got over that attack in NY a while back. Been there, kind of... not bad though. Metal bar back of the head in Ireland haha. As a fan of Team House, donated as much as I could. Keep it up man 👍 We need you healthy so we can keep getting great content!!! 😁

Amazing interview, I sub to and enjoy both channels and have always had a curiosity about Dave and his background. Very humble and dare I say unassuming. One of the best interviews so far on either channel to be honest. Thanks for bringing these stories to the public and sharing your experiences.

''There are men too superior to be seen except by the few, as there are notes too high in scale for most ears.'' Emerson said that. ''For every ten people you find clipping at the leaves of evil, you're' lucky to find one who's clipping at the roots.'' Thoreau said that. ''None are closer to the author of pain & sacrifice Himself; than those who choose to perform it for the sake & safety of others.'' -11b4p 1/504 back in '74, said that.

Telling these stories is an important endeavor. Kind of like Dave’s book about mistakes made in Viet Nam. If there are lessons to be learned through efforts that don’t involve violence, give it all your attention.

The description of the brain reboot is spot on. As an idiot who has started too many fights I can absolutely relate. Safe mode is a very good comparison.

That is really frustrating. Serving all this years and being so randomly, pointlessly and severely attacked on his own country, on a subway... This attack would kill a less prepared person.

So was Dave a contractor for ground branch or a different government intelligence unit, I think I have heard of afghan 01 units with attached CIA advisors so he could have worked for the CIA but not in a direct role like a GB contractor would in a DA capacity

I’m thinking he contracted for DIA or CIA. Some sort of operational intelligence job.. There’s a company out there called “Operational Intelligence LLC” that fits the bill pretty bang on.

Would also like to make note of a company called “black sky” that does the same sort of thing. Geospatial intel and all that.
