Frequent cartoon violence was always a plus on the show, especially when dummies were involved. I'm still waiting to see the segment where Dave's hand was asleep and the Library Lady was trying to wake it up with a blow torch, slamming it in a car door, etc.

Most shows would just slap the lid on the oil barrel and send it on its way. But with Late Night, they took the time to show you the lid being secured before rolling it down the stairs. That's commitment to comedy right there.

Mmm. Love to hear Popper with World's Most Dangerous Band. There are a few longer songs by WMDB available on YT and they're so good. Dance To The Music & all the work with James Brown. Amazing. Props to Paul. I know I'm not the first to think of this, but we need a box set or some kinda extended spotify playlist of all of the commercial break music for both WMDB and CBS Orchestra. "FOR PAUL!", he shouted with a disgusting populistic twang. Love Dave's odd word emphasis as usual. Blues TRAVELER. Norm MACdonald. Also I think you guys got a real defibrillator, not that I'm all that surprised. Though, that could be a fax machine with a couple cords and cheap irons. Hard to tell. It's not HD and I'm not all that recent on 80s technology. Nice work.

Wow, Blues Traveler in 1991? I didn’t think they broke through until 1994 with Runaround and Hook. That was the first time I became aware of them.

I really wish they would put the entire show out on DVD. Don't know why they don't do that for talk shows 🤔
