Dave should’ve, or at least could’ve, been the the one to take over the tonight show. I love Conan and think he should be there based on how it played out, but I really wonder how he got a contract to be the tonight show successor in 5 or 6 years, when he had never even had a show or been on tv? Do I have that right? Or was this years after he did have the Conan O’Brien show? That would make sense if it was at least five years after he started, because the first few years were awkward as he found his way and people got used to him. What I am sure about is it should not have been Leno. I can see why there’s an argument for him, I just personally didn’t care for him. Conan overall would’ve been the best and most entertaining. But the one that made the most sense and fit well, and was already excepted by America, was Dave.

How refreshing to see an interview where you get an insight into someone and they are not just plugging their latest 'book', fragrance etc and the ego of the interviewer does not intrude as in so many of our British chatshow hosts.
