Probably a Svengali style deck, where all the dupe cards are marked. If you’ve seen Brent Brauns ACAAN (as seen on penn and teller), he can do this type of effect. If she doesn’t choose the king of hearts, then he will just proceed with a different effect all together and force the king of hearts on the next trick. From the spectators point of view, they never know where the trick is going, so you can take it whatever route you want, depending on the situation. A good example of this is when David jazzes with mnemonica (memorised deck).

@@SiriusV21 without enough context of the trick from its beginning to here, it’s hard to tell. I can tell you the deck is not normal in some way. So many different ones, you got the destiny deck, rough and smooth, Svengali- the camera cuts right at a crucial scene so it’s hard to tell lol

I doubt that he didn't show them the deck before the trick... I also doubt a world class magician uses cheap tricks made for kids. He has a reputation, he wouldn't bring a deck with 52 coppies of the same card.
