This was a real fight and I think both deserve a big aplaude

To this day I don't understand the result of this fight. Erik Morales was absolute dominator of the whole fight, always putting his boxing first, David Diaz's few moments were when he hugged or crashed into him, a dirty boxing.

In modern boxing the aggressor usually gets the benefit of the doubt. But Morales had the sharper punches. He had the technique. Diaz only comes forward and swings wildly. He misses a lot of punches. He comes in with his head up and his hands down. Diaz showed me a lot of heart and guts but I didn't see a good game plan. I didn't see EFFECTIVE aggression. I just saw wild aggression. I didn't see clean punching from Diaz. I certainly didn't see any defense. This is why boxing has a bad name. You get a great fight like this and the judges drop the ball. Morales had the clean effective punching. He was counter Punching. Morales looked great fighting while he was backing up (i didnt know morales could even fight backing up). He was using Diazs aggression against him. He fought the perfect fight and he lost. I love boxing and stuff like this pisses me off.

2 injustices in this fight: -a washed up Morales gave a boxing lesson to Diaz who began to win the last 30 seconds of each round from the 6th boxing in Maidana's style but the judges forgot that each round is long 3 minutes and screwed Morales who deserved to win 116/111 -this fight should have been 2007 Fight of the year because of the technical level and intensity

The fifth round has just ended. I can see Morales having already secured a draw on account of the knockdown in the first round. As of this point in the fight, other then the time prior to that 1st rd knockdown, Morales has been in control of this fight and has, hands-down, clearly outboxed, out-fought, and totally out skilled Diaz as well.

All respect to Morales, but you people are blind. Diaz was the ring general the entire night. Constantly backed Morales up on the ropes and went toe to toe with him in the exchanges, not to mention he slipped a lot of Morales's punches with head movement. In what possible way did Morales get robbed? That's honestly how Morales was supposed to win and take the title, but he was constantly backing up and getting hammered on the ropes. Morales clearly had the power in his punches to damage Diaz. He should have came forward.
