I think David’s mindset for Dispo is bc he always uses disposable cameras while his friends are partying/drunk. So the whole “waiting to develop” thing is for when you’re partying, drinking, taking photos, & then waking up next morning to see your “developed photos”. It’s kind of funny bc when you’re in a diff mindset, you can’t just take & delete, it forces you to look at the photos when sober.

"fun" can be designing, manufacturing and creating a product from nothing, working with friends and having their own little venture, seeing the fans enjoy what he made. In fact you're far more likely to have fun taking this approach than Logan's approach of money money and more money. Obviously no one goes into business without visions of profit and Logan is entitled to want to make as much as possible. i'm just saying based on David's past actions giving away so much money that he could take for himself if he wanted, his motivations are probably different

Mike gets it. Logan has an idea and has his finger on the pulse for most things I am sure. But Mike said it best when he said their betting on David to shift the culture, and actually lean into the "delayed gratification" and that the idea will have an impact. And further, he understands that simply and idea can be worth a billion dollars to competitor. Dispo could be bought by a bigger company, but never scaled, simply for ownership of the idea. Or it could scale on it's own. Or he could sell it, and it flop, like Casey Neistat's "Beme" was bought by CNN... but still receive a paycheck....and that can be a win and a step forward to the next venture. Casey's Beme business partner said this... "Beme as a single product failed. Beme as a vision for the kind of technology and media that must be built is just getting started." That statement shows that there's plenty of value in simply a vision/idea, even if it's not fully developed into a packaged product/service.

Alexis has said his new vc firm 776 was created to invest in companies that are shifting the culture of what social media is now. Its become extremely toxic in a lot of ways. With depression and anxiety at an all time high amongst young people and "The Social Dilemma" verifying what many already knew. I think we are beginning to already see the shift and the want people have for a new and healthier space online. I don't think Dispo is intended to compete with Instagram. I think David, Alexis, and the Dispo team are aiming for teens/college kids (many of which already use the 1.0 version of the app) to use it and it take off from there. Also, I admit I was initially confused by the Perfume but I think the Pizza restaurant/frozen pizza could be a Gold mine. Esp if he stocks them in stores in college towns.

Adding guests and talking about other people/pop culture isn’t clout chasing, it’s discussing what’s relevant and actually interesting. And bringing on a bunch of different guests adds variety to the show and stops it from becoming boring and monotonous. I guarantee a lot of people would agree with me and say they don’t want to listen to David Dobrik and Co repeatedly talk about what they’re up to the previous day

i think logan, a bit like Jake, is so obsessed with making everything MASSIVE and becoming the first billion dollar creator (Jake has expressed this dream many times). The only metric of success Logan seems to be describing is money, money, money. Ever consider that maybe David has everything he wants. some cool opportunities arise and he just goes with the flow. maybe he wanted to make a fragrance because he was approached about it and thought it would be a cool idea, especially while he can't create youtube videos properly. Same with the app, even if just a couple million of his own followers have fun with it, that may be a success in his world. You're assuming these are bad business decisions on the understanding that David is looking to become a billionaire...when you have no idea if that's his motive. I think its pretty clear from David's content that money isn't the pinnacle for him

I also think he has completely different motives and outlooks on life and a completely different “aesthetic” even than these guys. He is so much more friendly and relatable then logan and probably just wants to make fun campaigns about positive things

David can make 6 figures on 1 brand deal for 1 vlog so if he cared about money he would have been posting LOADS over the last 6 months. If David only cared about money he wouldn't get given a $200,000 lambo and choose to give it away for free. If he only cared about money there would be a brand deal on every single one of his videos. If he only cared about moeny he would make his content child friendly so he could actually make ad revenue - he makes next to no money from youtube adverts despite having one of the most viewed channels which would make tens of millions of $$$ in ad revenue if he made content ad friendly. If he cared about money only He wouldn't buy his friends about 30 cars, including many teslas if he only cared about his own bank account. Obviously, the investors have invested for profit, I'm just saying David and Logan probably have very different motives for taking on certain projects.

When mike spoke about how to not be afraid to be selfish , it’s so true man 😞, everything he said hit home , I have always been that way & im currently fighting that battle trying to make myself free from that because it literally physically drains me ,it’s messed up because when that perosn isent around I instantly feel like I have energy to do things again an not be in my room laying down , it’s a fucked up situation because you don’t want to feel like your giving up on them but I’m basically giving up on my happiness just always trying to make sure that person is going to be ok 😔 hopefully it all works out

Going to try to give my opinions on every podcast from now on... This was a great podcast and I really enjoy when Mike plays devils advocate to some points because it really lets you see both sides to a questions that is multi dimensional. I agreed with Logan on the point about Dispo but seeing as it could possibly be the next big thing was something i didnt even fathom tbh so it was cool to see someone argue for that point. George talking about his weed usage and the end to it was inspiring to know that one person was able to change his mind and makes me ambitious to be that person someday. Overall great podcast!

I prefer to watch/listen to the podcasts. The vlogs are good but they seem too staged and set apart from the real world. The podcasts seem much realer, not in the LA bubble, and explore actual life issues that people can relate too, but I guess everyone prefers different types of content.

I mean he was still dropping 3 vlogs a week as recent as like 1-2 months ago. He would tweet every single time he was going to miss an upload. He’s still recording his daily content, just sucks that it went from 3 vlogs for KZfaq 1 for Maverick club, to now 3 vlogs for Maverick club and 0 for KZfaq, sometimes 1 if we’re lucky.

I watch Logan, Mike, and Impaulsive faithfully for the past 1 1/2 years. One thing I noticed is you never ever see Logan on his phone. The only time you see it is for the podcast sitting on the table but he never touches it unless it rings and he immediately turns it off. Such a little thing but I respect that.
