He's been polite about the Glazers and the situation in the club. You can tell he's been diplomatic and even sugar coating a lot of things. The part when he talks about the leaking roof and how it was leaking from his and Fergie's time like that's a good thing. If anything that shows how the rot set in under their reign with chronic lack of investment in maintenance and looking after OT.

However you could argue that why the bloody hell is it the football managers job to see to it that Old Trafford is maintained and fixed properly? What else do people do at the club that the manager needs to be dealing with that nonsense? Even Gill shouldn't be dealing with that, just signing off the works being approved for finance and that's it.

I love this channel, love the content, love the chemistry, and was super excited for this interview but damn...the way this has been released and edited has been perplexing. 8-12 minute clips instead of a straight 1 -2 hour interview really messes with the rhythm of the interview and I've actually found myself disgusting less even with the more succinct bite size releases. Not sure who made the call on this, but they made a c*ck up.

This is the first slightly fumbled interview on Five. Mr. Gill was slightly hard to hear/understand (might be because I'm not British), and breaking it up in parts did not do continuity of the conversation justice (I would have dedicated a full hour to listen to this man). Almost feels like Five edited this for views, but it backfired. But still this was a really cool, insightful interview.

Looking forward to listening to this in full. Mr Gill's contribution to United's success during his period in charge is underplayed. So many of the fanbase blamed him for getting in line after his call to action over the shares fell on deaf ears but what was he really going to do? Becoming a martyr to that scenario did neither the club or himself any good. Did a top job and rightfully respected throughout the game, shown by his roles with the FA and UEFA. Rejecting FIFA vice presidency due to Blatter's corruption case another show of his class.

Absolutely fantastic to hear from Mr Gill and appreciate everything he did for our club and the way he comes across and conducts himself just oozes Class.... Please try and release as a 2, 1hour videos. IMO i feel the small drip feeding of the interview makes it lose the quality of content you have right here in this interview... Check the feedback in the comment section guys. Some legit and fair criticism about the delivery of this interview. I'm sure it was done this way for a commercial reason but it makes it pretty hard to get into a groove with any interviewee and have your own thoughts and opinions stimulated when it's all chopped up like this. David is an interesting guy but this choice of delivery was a bit of a shitshow considering the hype. Clumsy intro. Not much orientation and confusing structure and execution. I know it's youtube but quality broadcasting has rules and standards. You can't assume your audience always knows where you're at. You got to do the basics sometimes and have a solid structure and 'language of interviewing' that works. A guy sitting in the middle of 3 people asking him questions isn't easy. Would have been better if one guy had led the interview and had Rio to do the expanded stuff with David and he was facing you both. You didn't really need Joel in there at all. With all due respect he wasn't going to bring much to the table in this particular situation.

Needs to be slung into one part. Even if you're taking breaks in between, you can easily edit it together. Having these shorter clips is much more disruptive and chaotic and much hard to make work tbh.

Yes, most of the players bought since 2014 have not been top class and Man Utd have overpaid for them. In the present side, I'd choose Martinez (but he's prone to injuries), Bruno, Casemiro, and Shaw as those who might have got in the 1999 side. Mainoo and Garnacho would have been exciting prospects getting 10 minutes at the end of a game from the bench. As others have said, the edit into several videos is not smooth and someone has not thought about it enough. Two parts would have been enough.

If a club falls apart after two key individuals leave, is that good governance/stewardship by those individuals? City, Real, Bayern were all sprinting ahead of us in to the future when Gill and Ferguson were still there. I know they want to be polite and deferential to Gill, but the questions need to be asked about why that was allowed to happen.
