David Gilmour on performing live: “You know, once you’ve had that guitar up so loud on the stage, where you can lean back and volume will stop you from falling backward, that’s a hard drug to kick.”

Suite Judy blue eyes by Crosby, Stills and Nash. Harmony off the charts.

Dig on some Crosby, Stills & Nash for more of this harmony.

I never heard this before. I only clicked on it because of Graham Nash ,the ultimate harmony-nizer. I made up my own word lol. Southern Cross is still my favorite.

I never heard this before , I just clicked because of David Gilmore. Your right about the harmony-nizer wizard.

Yep and probably he's been harmonizing for over 73 years!, some like, 95% of his life by now - harmony master.

I love watching Graham Nash in this performance. You can tell he is really feeling it and and could barely contain himself toward the end.

I think it's funny that Graham always kicks off his shoes and goes barefoot onstage.

Dudes music gets you stoned naturally. 10 on the groovy scale. Can't play this guy on the work site cause nothing gets done, every one just stares at their hammers and tape measures. Almost 6 so it's time to grab my tape and hammer.

This was something of a comeback for Dave Gilmour (over 20 years since his previous solo album and more than a decade since Pink Floyd had released an album as a band). And whilst it's not Pink Floyd, the trademark sound is there so it kinda is... The whole album is reminiscent of the band's heyday with Dark Side of the Moon etc, so everyone was super excited when this came out.

Crosby and Nash did another epic song with Gilmour: shine on you crazy diamond, from the same concert: Remember that Night (Royal Albert Hall)!!!
@roballen57185 жыл бұрын
his song, 'the Blue' has exactly the same vibe. many of his, and Pink Floyd's songs have beautiful backing singing. my favourite song for that is called 'In Any Tongue'. iand most of them have the same chilled vibe, too, especially the ones that Gilmour and Wright composed. if you want something that'll blow you away you should listen to Pink Floyd's live at Gdansk version of Echoes. i listen to it virtually every day.

Little factoid for you. That shoulder strap Gilmour wears on his guitar was once owned and used by Jimi Hendrix. His wife bought it for him at an auction. Given the history of that guitar, the addition of that strap makes that rig a monument of rock music. Also, if you like the vocal harmonies of these 3 geezers, as an encore in this show they sing a beautiful acapella version of Find the Cost of Freedom.

I'd love for you to try some Jackson Browne. It's all about the lyrics. I think before the deluge might be a good place to start. Or the pretender birds of St Mark's.

I don't think people understand how big of a deal this is? David Gilmour is huge but Nash & Young are on a totally different level. To hear these two guys sing is extremely special. And rare. And the song itself is very beautiful I'm pretty sure David's wife Polly wrote the lyrics to this one

MRM, I've seen many subscribers suggesting Eric Church videos for you. I think, to be introduced to Mr. Church, you should start with his song Lightening. Than you for your reaction videos, I subscribed after watching two. I like how you don't cut into the music or use foul language. I especially like the GOD bless you all message at the end. May God Bless you and your family as well sir.
