This is really an outstaning video. Kudos to David Holt for capturing it. L.W. Lambert is about as smooth a picker as they come. The outro with the Lonesome Road Blues is incredible and showcases each players amazing talent.

Ray Cline was my brother. He is so missed by family and friends. LW Lambert was a wonderful man. He and Ray played music together for many years.

Really beautiful this presentation. That's good to see those two guys are enjoying what they dothank you for upload it to youtube. I am also a boy of 67 summers, I play the banjo with my grandchildren and friends and we formed the Joy Riverbank's Bluegrass Band. Possibly only in Argentina, joined the duo Twin Leaves singing. God bless and protect them, where they are. Big hug from Buenos Aires, Jose Luis. .

I've noticed he doesn't anchor both fingers to the head only his little finger which is reassuring to see as I can never anchor both just my little. Just pointing this out as Earl Scruggs insisted both must be anchored, pinky plus ring.

I much prefer the old time sound over the Scruggs Bluegrass style of picking. The three finger picking style is way too mechanical and shrill sounding to me it has no soul.I know the style doesnt have to sound that way my favarite Scruggs style banjo picker is Jens Kruger he has a wonderful melodic sound.Just my opinion not trying to offend anyone.

That may very well be the case but I ABHOR the Scruggs style of banjo playing its mostly a mumbo jumbo flurry of notes that makes the music annoying to listen to on most levels, extreamly mechanical and normally played way too loud with little or no melodic base compared to the number of notes played.Sorry I'm just not a fan,to each thier own.
