David Letterman Orders Hotdogs Out The Window Using A Bullhorn.

First David makes a public apology to Terry Forsterfor referring him to as a "Fat Tub of Goo". Later Dave uses a bullhorn to solicit pedestrians in buying him 5 hotdogs and bring them to him. I recorded this segment in June of 1985.

This is classic David Letterman shtick. NBC was cutting edge letting him pull those pranks! Can you imagine pulling that stunt today? You wouldn't be able to because the windows have safety stops and can't open more than a couple inches.

Dave was right when he said in a recent interview that he should've retired from his show ten years before he actually had. Towards the end, he was getting grumpier and grumpier and had lost that comedic energy of his early and mid-career days.
