This is very inspirational. I’ve been trying the spatter technique with limited colors for a background and continuing with the same colors for darker values,but have had difficulty bringing the image out while still preserving the light. Your comments about value and technique are very helpful. Thank you!

Wonderful video with David sharing his techniques and experience. Could someone tell me what brand of palette this is? I’ve never seen one like it! Nice mixing areas, but plenty of room for paints. Also love the use of chalk markers! Thank you for posting this. Just signed up for his “landscapes” class.

From David: My palette is called a “Studio Palette” and is manufactured by a Korean company called “Mijello”. They are easy to find online
