Mr. Swenson has a great attitude, apparent when you do a workshop with him. He teaches you to work hard, yes, but to laugh a little too. He makes you think, makes you look for your answers and is a good person who has done a lot for Ashtanga. I appreciate his books, demos and workshops. thanks David!

Swenson is a good human being, he learned yoga himself, then did everything in his power to teach it to others. He wrote a very useful book, did many demonstrations was never guided by his ego. May God bless him, and thanks for the instructive video.

It is pretty unfortunate that the world do not get teachers like David, Richard, Tim, and Chuck anymore, the 4 legends of Ashtanga Yoga. Most Ashtanga teachers nowadays are too showy and 'perform' too much. David Swenson has my highest respect. Mr Chow, probably you are better suited to watch a circus performance if thats what perfection means to you. Om Shanti.

perfection should not be a goal in yoga or in anything else for that matter... David Swenson is an amazing human being and yoga practitioner.

He is about 60 now, so I'd say 57 or something around then.

I'm not sure what chowchow is trying to say...it was a beautiful sequence of asana, showing grace, strength, flexibility, and most of all, being in the moment, which is really what I think this practice of yoga is about. what 'perfection' are you looking for? thanks for posting it, though!

Totally a performance. Demonstration of amazing muscle control and flexibility. What was the purpose?

after this demonstration and percepting the forms, the poses, one can understand paintings by hieronymus bosch: there were certainly yogis living in europe in the past too. unfortunately persecuted by inquisition.

Quite marvelous yoga practice, and I like the guy too (as moving picture and sound). Very inspiring that the guy's over 50 too. But that's definetly not "perfect" physically. Circus acts might have much more flexibility, strenght and difficult moves. As performance art, yoga's not the most spectacular one. Except maybe for those doing it.
