In interviews I believe it's just because they admire each other and are good friends, i dont believe it's any sort of fanservice or something else. I really enjoy their friendship they just look so natural and comfortable with each other and they're a perfect comedic duo, I mean, how mucb better can you get then "WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?!" 😂😂

What’s so amusing to me is how David continues to cling to this “buddy cop” narrative; whilst Michael, like many longtime book fans is a “Ineffable Husbands” Shipper. Yet on screen, it was so Clearly Crowley pursuing Azirophale romantically. Makes me wonder if David isn’t secretly a shipper too and is just doing this alternative explanation option to woo potential viewers who wouldn’t be open to watching it if they knew from the jump what they were going to see.

Buffy Bell I think so too, from what I can tell, David Tennant seems super respectful of the various fandoms he came in contact with (Dr Who, Good Omens, even Ducktales) and anxious of disappointing long term afficianados. I guess he prefers offering a more « neutral » view of the Good Omens relationship so everyone can make what they want of it :-) in one interview he did say Crowley loves Aziraphale though.

I think it was for publicity. There was a lot of publicity for a show which had a large fanbase and they wanted it to appeal to faction which shipped them and others which think it's friendship. So PR must have told them to hint at it both as a platonic love story and a buddy cop.

Actually, David has said before he is a shipper! He is a bit quiet about it, but that's just because of his general overall shy & reserved personality :) he loves ineffable husbands! 💙

Do it! I think it's usually nice to wait a while between diffrent adaption of a story because that way the differing details are less grating, but I can't discourage anyone from reading the treasure that is Good Omens.

My husband and I have watched the series at least 3 x and never get bored.. the interaction and choices of actors make this truly a magical event. We watch hard times episode where it shows them through time many times over .. it makes us smile.. thank you :)

I've been thinking about it for the last three days, watching their interviews! He looks at him so... lovingly(?) But maybe we're just imagining it. I mean, Michael seems like a very cute and kind sunshine, who looks at everyone with tenderness in his eyes. It`s very easy to mistake it for love 😁 (so many words in my head and i can`t articulate them clearly >< but i hope you understand what i mean) (and sory for my english if it`s bad. i started learning it early in this year and my skill is not great yet >< )

Love the show! Couldn't get enough of everything; the cast, soundtrack, wonderful job the crew did (Gaiman, McKinnon, Arnold) etc! So many wonderful actors; queenie from blackadder, the league of gentlemen actors... there were just little snippets of everything. It was everything I liked about the book :)
