With the last part about the anger... whenever I used to watch angry David I felt no bad vibes coming from it just genuine frustration with the way people treat their bodily potential. Like God's Fury or disappointment through David as it's voice. And since I have fought through the exact same thing where it just infuriated me how people throw themselves away for no good reason and it made me furious how good people, good friends could just be so careless with their lives. Underlying deep sadness 100%, I could have cried everytime I met them. He'll get it eventually and if not he's still coming from the right place, and people who are honest with themselves will know that instead of those just looking to play victim and be offended. Loved the Episode looking forward to the rest!

Just a beautiful talk.. love it. ❤ it's starts with anger and using that as motivation.. and suddenly sadness appears as soon as you're quiet en sensitive enough to hear ur wounds. After that love arises.. you understand ur pain, and in that way you understand others pain. From there forgiveness will happen by itself, because understanding is forgiveness. And by understanding you understand there is nothing to forgive... because we are all acting from our wounds.. and the only way forward is to heal our shit, and to embody that love forward.. and from there we will automatically heal our collective by being a catalyst for each other.. we are all one ... lost in our conditioning and trying to come back to wholeness.. much love ❤

What a treat for a Sunday morning, cheers Tim + David!! A fascinating convo that applies and dives deeply into all levels of movement and exercise. The idea of just playing child like with new equipment or ideas, and removing the different stimuli or senses, to encourage growth of the bodies' natural, less thought about reflexes is a unique view point. David Weck certainly thinks differently. Especially in a sports environment which becomes regimented and fixated on the tried + proven and tested. It was interesting that Tim bought up BJ Penn's coaches (The Marinovich Bros) during the same week BJ was talking about his old coaching on JRE. The point about feet connecting everything with our environment and how weak they become in the modern day harks back to Nick Curson on Joe Rogan's show years ago too! The part about overcompensating when mistakes in movement or training are made and how it is practice for NOT OVERREACTING hit hard. In a psychological way where confidence increases, not just in a performance setting, but in life overall. All sports and athletes could use this conversation as inspiration. Thanks once again guys, great video and chat! Thoroughly enjoyed it! BTW when Tim say's he believe's Weck is currently the best biomechanist on the planet, I can see why.

@@TimShieff Top man Tim! Will definitely be tuning in for more! There is a channel called Pro Striking here on KZfaq who is run by a martial artist based out of Nottingham i believe. He does work all around the midlands, including Birmingham with Leon Edwards + Arnold Allen. Maybe another guest or link to guests if you can get in touch with them. Enjoy your Sunday evening bro!

Timothy, did it hurt when you fell from heaven? Angel in a non-convincing disguise if you ask me haha. Really appreciate the content of this video, fascinating to hear all about the BOSU ball and Davids Journey. What struck me the most is the Love and Truth you express in your relationship with David. Im 72 hours into a juice cleanse right now so it was quite emotional for me to witness your demonstration of pure compassion and honesty. I Love David and I've followed him for a while now, he's an exact definition of unrecognised Genius. its my hope that he will feel and heal his pain with great friends like you around I feel sure he will arrive. Thank you for creating and sharing with us. Om brother.

Great talk. The Gym fitness industry is big and Human movement is not really in it. I have been involved since '82 and discovery since learning Capoeira and Cuban dance (not Salsa but Yoruba religious styles - which has many of these discoveries in it) has taught me move like a human. David Weck seems to have really managed to reveal so many important points about our 1st world understanding of fitness that it is a great wonder that fitness industry hasn't jumped on his revelations with joy. Thanks for getting into him in this positive way. I'm glad to see these changes and developments in some sphere's - I live in hope.

David is a gem. My boyfriend has the exact same reaction “eternal anger” to what’s going on in the world. The anger can be a catalyst but it can also cause a lot of harm, which I know Bc often it effects me in a negative way. I understand the anger it’s the transcending anger thing that’s the hard part- the really looking at the deeper reason why- it’s so deeply embedded…our mind protects us from seeing the truth Bc it might shatter us. If only there were a real direct method of seeing our trauma with non-judgment. I haven’t found it yet

Love Weck. I was also into Functional patterns, it still has value but i like to explore also. Knees over toes is also great teacher, even better passionate communicator. I just feel rope and weck coil, will be so useful to me helping other move and feel better. And on my personal tennis journey. P.s. i started writing comments couse i was laughing at shirt. It is great one but i can read two interpretationy. Maybe he done it intentionally, can you ask him? Is other way of reading shirt " Let's f again" ? :)

Question for David. In terms of our balance, how important is centre of gravity and weight distribution? Something that helped me greatly when competing in amateur sporting endeavours was my own understanding of my ability just to be able to balance better than those who did not even think about it. Placing my centre of gravity into an advantageous position quicker than the opponent, thus being ready for the next move down the chain ahead of them. Are there any important pieces of research or information that he can share, that will aid even a complete beginner in their movement and locomotion in all directions? Also any running tips to improve our own personal biomechanics?

First of all, great talk about biomechanics, thank you both for that. Second of all, there is a time and a place for an advice, and that little "anger bad forgiveness good" sermon did not fit well with me, Tim. Although I know you're coming from a good place and mean well, that little monolog of yours didn't sound that much different from the unsolicited advice vegans love so much pushing unto others. You know, the one mostly people unsure about what they're saying do, people who found something that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside and they desperately WISH it was true, and it's like their little make-believe that spreading it around onto others somehow makes it more true for them. Let me do the same to demonstrate what I mean: All the spiritual mumbo-jumbo you're learning for the last few years is a total hogwash, Tim, it's in the absolutely opposite direction from anything of real use and value, it cannot really withstand five minutes of serious scrutiny and you're just wasting your time on this newage bullshit someone else has been making up instead of examining the texture of direct experience and finding out what's true with brutal honesty, for which you need no teaching. Now, saying this to you has no meaning, same as pushing your view (which isn't really yours in the first place) on David. For me, anger is a BEAUTIFUL automatic reaction to bullshit and injustice. Arising by itself, bringing harmony to where it's been missing. Neutering it is not only illogical, it's completely unnatural. I hope this helps, although I know it won't. See you guys around. 🤗

Have you heard of anger affecting decision making and judgement? Or how a negative mood can lead to pessimism. Should it be held on to for long periods if it has a detrimental affect on yourself?

I'm with you on anger serving a valid purpose. Could you consider that create the same energy and be driven to assert yourself and protect yourself without having to feel anger. Is it the feeling of anger that is important to you or the behaviour?
