About Ahava Jerusalem
The website and the Social Media Channels are a Christian host for devotionals, sermons, and videos with a focus on Jesus Christ and His Word so that the Church may be built up.
MISSION: that Christ is formed in you (Gal 4:19) and that you may be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Ro 12:2) so that you may grow to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. (Eph 4:13)

What is it about faith that keeps demanding greater #testing? Those closest to the heart of #Jesus will be tested with a great intensity. Faith must go beyond believing for the provision of #God, faith must reach the very heart of God and His purposes. The heart of this message tells us our present battles are not about testing or chastening, it is what God is doing in our hearts to prepare us for service in eternity! We will rule and reign with Christ and in the ages to come we will show forth His glory. God has a larger purpose than just this world.
About David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.
David Wilkerson had a strong burden to encourage and strengthen pastors throughout the world. From 1999 to 2008, he traveled around the globe holding conferences for Christian ministers.

I'm praying for you Daniel. I've been wondering the same. I recently realized that we have the Holy Spirit in us and we see/feel all the pain and brokenness everywhere and deeply. It's as if my heart is breaking all the time. Just today I talked with two strangers and learned they are believers and feel the same way, We think people are fine and have it easier. They don't. We all struggle and battle anxiety, loneliness or a multitude of things every day. Please pray for me and I'll remember to pray for the Lord to give you deep rest in Him and lift your burden. Thanks my brother in Christ.

We all need to pray for each other. I too find myself constantly heartbroken. My heart yearns for Jesus. I fail all the time. It makes me feel so very sad. God is so sweet and Holy and wonderful and here I am almost incapable of loving him the way I need to and should. I'm just a low life sinner. This life is so difficult. I read somewhere that when we feel the Lord is far away, he's actually closer. Lord Jesus please find me worthy.

Thanks for sharing. I often feel the same way. Why do I so often fail in obedience and also fail in boldly sharing my faith? "Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you" James 4:8 and Malachi 3:7. Also: "If you seek the Lord with all your heart, you will find Him" Deut 4:29 and Jeremiah 29:13. Praying for both of you.

Daniel, its because you are trying to do all this in your own strength, the minute you give it over to Him and understand that He does it through you, you will rejoice in the suffering, remember we died with Him and we Rise with Him, those sufferings make you humble, praise God for your wonderful love for Him and I will pray

I'm wondering how I'm gonna get through another day. If it was so hard for Abraham to get some peace...a true man of God.What chance do I have? I've failed my tests so many.... Suffering day on end! I'm isolated and can't keep this up much longer. Where is my hope if not even my basic needs are in question. You say I'm weak. Yes I am weak! You say suck it up, I hear you. I say that to myself. At some point it's all going to make sense. I have no more feelings. I just exist. God please show me the way. If not where should I turn? God you created me in your image. So many people suffering in silence. I'm rambling now but I know things will change. God bless this man of God may he RIP!!

When we look at a 16 year young shepherd boy, who rose up faithfully to demonstrate the power of God by knowing the Spirit would deliver the enemy the giant Goliath into his hands. This was done to strike fear into the hearts of those who sought to come against God's chosen people. The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit shewed that God is in control no matter what we face. Dedicate yourself fully to Jesus Christ for the time to come will reveal the glory of God for the whole world to see.

I believe saints suffer because It's God's plan to bring us through the fire to refine us and shape us to be ready for the Lord Jesus Christ. It may not be because we are doing something wrong all the time; maybe because we're doing something right. God Bless.

That it might be by Grace, not the will of man, not the wisdom of man, not the strength of man. He has a Will, a place for us, a provision. We don't need to ask Him to Bless us but find out what His Blessing is, what He has in His Mind for us. He has a place for me to live, I only need to find out from Him where that is. He has provided for it and it won't be anything I do to make it happen, if it is me who makes it happen then it won't be by Grace but by my will and my doing. His Spirit asks "Will you believe? No matter what, can I show God through you?"

As much as I absolutely love and respect our brother David Wilkerson, one of the VERY BEST preachers and teachers this world has EVER seen, there is something in his introduction in this sermon I just feel I would like to clarify to the viewers. On the 0:25 second mark of this video he says the following words, "No one has fully explained why God's people suffer so much. We can't have an answer to all of that". I wish to very kindly and with utter respect disagree with my precious brother. Collectively, Jesus, Paul and other in God's word have explained VERY clearly why Christians are going to and are suffering as they do. May I kindly suggest that the reason people cannot understand why Christians suffer as they do is because they haven't fully spent enough time in God's word as to the putting suffering into it's correct biblical context as pertaining to their very own lives. I was a Christian for just three weeks when I purchased my very first car. Three days later I was involved in a terrible head-on collision that almost claimed the life of my girlfriend as her face smashed against the windshield. She survived but was scarred for life. We were both Christians at the time. Some years later I witnessed another terrible car accident very similar to the one I had been involved in. i ran over to the female passenger and instead of leaving her in the car to wait for the paramedics to arrive, I picked her out of the car and carried her to my office across the street. In not stabilizing her, little did I know she had suffered a broken neck and three cracked ribs. With me moving her as I did, the broken ribs pierced her lungs and she died later that afternoon. If I had not picked her up she would not have died. The doctor who treated her did not press charges against me. Some years later I was travelling on a highway when a tiny six year old boy had run in front of my car. I swerved, but too late. His head went smashing into my side mirror and the metal joint holding the mirror in place took off half his skull. As my window was open, half of his brain and some of his blood were spattered over my own face. I hit the brakes to bring the car to a standstill and ran back to where his body lay slumped in the middle of the road. I fell on my knees next to him, embraced his bloody and smashed body against my chest, becoming myself soaked by his blood. He died in my arms just a few moments later. A year later I was called to do 'Special Ops' in one of our surrounding countries. I was a Military Paratrooper at the time. We were flowing low in our chopper in hot pursuit of any enemy patrol who had pinned down one of our own patrols who had called in for support. As we were about to land our chopper came under heavy fire and we had to scramble out jumping out at about ten feet above the ground. As we hit the ground we found ourselves in one of the heaviest ambushes I had personally encountered in my part-time military career expanding over thirteen years, and as the ground around us as been strafed with machine gun fire I scrambled for cover and within seconds found myself staring down the barrel of a fully loaded AK-47 assault rifle. As the adrenaline in my body kicked in and reflexes took over I must have pumped six or seven shots into this man's body as I virtually stared into his eyes while he was dying. A week later I was ordered to shoot and kill a woman, whose leg had been blown off but who managed to grab an 'AK' and was about to shoot at our patrol. I did as I was ordered but unless you have been in that situation you will never know the mental, psychological and even spiritual battles that goes on in your mind for years after that. After nineteen years of marriage, and finding out that your wife has been having a secret affair with one of your friends, who also happened to be a deacon in our church, is another tragedy that hit my life. After the divorce my son came to live with me and my daughter lived with her mom. Two years later my son received an sms from his girlfriend informing him that she was pregnant. She was just fifteen years old at the time and my son was just sixteen. After the funeral I went to his girlfriend's house to beg her not to have an abortion. Through bitter tears she confessed to me that she wasn't pregnant and that she had actually meant it as a 'joke', simply a teenage prank that had gone terribly wrong. When I informed my dear mother that the young lady was never pregnant she broke down completely and three weeks later she died of a heart attack. Shortly after her funeral my daughter collapsed psychologically and disappeared out of my life completely. I have not seen her since, it's been over ten years. I moved out of that city and five years ago I remarried. Last year in October my wife, without any explanation whatsoever, decided she would prefer a divorce. Just three days short of what should have been our five year wedding anniversary we instead became officially divorced. Looking back over my life I can honestly say it was pitted and plagued by terrible suffering and tragedy, but the one thing I have never done is question or even blame God. And this is why I wish to address our dear brother David Wilkerson's opening statement in his sermon that "No one has fully explained why God's people suffer so much. We can't have an answer to all of that". You see, we DO have an answer to that and without necessary turning this reply into a lengthy 'sermon' let me share just simply the very scriptures which have sustained and kept me through all my pain, suffering and loss. John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." 2 Timothy 3:1 "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days". Matthew 16:24 "Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me". 1 Peter 4:16 "However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name". 1 Peter 1 v 7 "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ". Romans 8:18 "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us". Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." There are many more scriptures I can share but if there is something that I need you to know is that, I know what pain is, I know what tragedy, loss and suffering is, as many of you can testify out there as well, but this is FAR more important than any suffering you may have to go through and it's this. The very promises of God's word tells us exactly the reasons we need to know why we are suffering in this world as we do. God is refining us, His church in trials of fire so that our faith can come forth as pure Gold. Thank you for reading this far if you have. Please take this opportunity to subscribe to my KZfaq channel and Share with your friends. May you find purpose in this life through the wonderful promises of God's word. kzfaq.info/love/tzkwfOJWkLHLmhSqRU5tsAfeatured?disable_polymer=true

So sorry for all you've been thru. You are right, the Bible tells us clearly we will suffer but do we really know always why, like specific and in detail for every situation? Is not about blaming God is about being honest with your feelings and despite the pain to be able and say I trust YOU...because real trust is when you don't get it but stay firm on the promise that God knows better.

One of the most difficult things for me to deal with right now is that I need to hear other preaching, but every seemingly wise minister I find always show their true colors sooner or later. None are in the truth. What they are is in just enough truth to gain a great following ... They deny pagan holidays, ignore the true enemies who control war and politics, tell the false media stories instead of the truth. They do not baptize in Jesus name or teach the truth bout the Holy Ghost ... they are lacking and leading many astray.
