Great video. Your copy looks almost mint. I bought one for 45 euro, which has had a rough life. The hotshoe was dented, and the neckstrap lug was bent, and scratches all over. Optics are still great. The EVF does have a weird 'leaking' LCD, but it is still usable. One nice surprise: Lightroom has lens profiles for this camera.

Mode dial positioning reminded me EOS R7's rear dial/joystick combination position. Canon are really not forgetting what they've done in the past and try something new as much as they can without changing habits of the users

wish I had known about these cool early 2000s powershot cameras when I took photography in high school, I'm sure even back then I could've afforded one off ebay. Oh well I'll enjoy them now 😁😁

I just picked one up this week for $80. I am surprised how well the images are turning out. I own a Ricoh GRiiix and a X100V as well and I found it to be very similar.

I have one. A joy to use. Really small, nice lens and full of functions. But I'm the opposite of you. I don't like to shoot these kind os early 2000s/late 1990s digital cameras in RAW to have a clinical "perfect" image. Fot that I shoot modern digital ones. I like to get the character, color, look, flaws and idiosyncrasies Canon embedded in those JPG files at the lab prior to release it. I don't like to shoot old digital cameras for that "film look". For the film look, I shoot... film. 😄👍 There's still plenty of film available and 35mm cameras as well. But ok. Even if someone wants to have that feeling or that film vibe with digital cameras, the JPGs Canon and other brands developed back in the 90s and early 20s looks to me they tried to mimic the look of regular/consumer color negative films. Not in the RAW files. Only in the cooked JPGs they created. That's why I treat those old digital cameras like cheap 35mm film camera and embrace the imperfection (they still produce beautiful and full os character images) and ASA limits. The Pro1 goes to ISO 400 only and that's like having to choose consumer color negative films in the 80s or 90s. Its 100, 200 or 400 and thats it. Deal with it and have lots of fun (with flash indoors and at night). Cheers!

Got this camera for $5 once. I hoped to remove the "L lens" and then I got a battery and stuck it into this camera. Oh... Nevermind. Its a cool paper weight for me as it doesn't fully work.
