This part two of the two and half days stage to Akaslompolo from Hetta following the the Arctic Postal Road the bikepacking route designed by Taneli (@gonebikefishing) that takes you from Lapland in Finland practically till Nordkapp in Norway. I've ridden it southbound, this part of the trail follows the Hetta-Pallas hiking trail inside the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Fabulous arctic scenery, trails and really cosy hut to sleep at night.

Ciao Thomas! Yeah I bet Florida is pretty different although when I crossed the Americas cycling down from Alaska I was in the west part of the US.

@@DavideTravelli that's cool you got to ride the west coast. I rode Monterey to San Luis Obispo through Big Sur last summer. That was really cool. East coast and Florida has lot of greenery comparing with West Coast. All the best to your rides there. 👍

Oh, that rocky terrain. Like Norway. Painful. Makes you want to go to the dark, full squish side…but that’s just more stuff to break.

Nice videos, beautiful ride. Q: how about your equipment? Bike, wheels, racks, clothing - everything survived those bumpy trails? What kind of equipment would you exchange?

Hey Reto! Yeah pretty happy with all the little changes I made resuming my adventure this summer. I switched to more appropriate shoes in Lapland but other than that I didn’t really have to change much. I’ll do a video with my gear before end of winter probably.

Hi; Where can you find info about hut locations in Finland and Sweden ?

There's a free website for Sweden (they also have an app but you need to pay a subscription) vindskyddskartan.se for Finland there is a free app but I forgot the name, not very intuitive and only in finnish but if you ask someone local to set it up for you to display shelters it's okay

one thing. You cant ride out side of the path, because its a national park. It can damage vulnerable nature.

@@DavideTravelli no, usually you have no license to ride a bike in nature park. if you dont obey the rules, we loose that possibility ride there. You can see, that tricky spots have multible paths, because people act like you. Respect the rules.
