[How To] Link your PayPal Account to Mpesa

6 жыл бұрынIn this video, I will show you how to link your PayPal account to Mpesa. It takes less than 1 minute.
Safaricom PLC and PayPal inked a deal in April 2018 that has facilitated Kenyans to transact from PayPal to Mpesa and Vice Versa.
This comes at the back of advanced integration of Mpesa API by many websites worldwide including the Google PlayStore.
To link your PayPal to Mpesa your details on Mpesa need to Match your details on PayPal. This includes and is not limited to your Name(s), Address, Email Address etc.
This will help you avoid any error encountered due to an issue with your personal details.
This service will allow Kenyans to Withdraw Money From PayPal to Mpesa and Send Money From Mpesa to PayPal via Paybill number.

Hi Evad, I'm not sure why that's the case but you can reach out to PayPal and Safaricom via their social channels. Hi David I'm called Hassan and I'm from uganda ...l always watch videos there are inspiring for sure ...so problem PayPal accounts in ug are not allowed to either withdraw or receive funds because it's restricted here. It's so painful for sure .... indeed l searched on the internet the solution was to get a friend from Kenya to open for me account from equity bank and Visa card ..and a PayPal account from there so l can access it ...so don't no how l be helped from side sincerely l'm jobless ...there apps that can make money through them buh problem is the payment ..l need help from u please bro..

There's most probably an issue with the names. This may be on PayPal or Mpesa side. For example, your name needs to be your First and Last Name (Surname) and if they match then the linking works flawless. Try and amend that on PayPal and Safaricom by visiting Customer care. Thanks.

Hi Aderito, Thanks for reaching out. I'm not sure of the ins and outs of having PayPal offer Mobile transfers or easier ways to send or receive money via PayPal. PayPal is extremely strict but you can try and reach out to the company facilitating this awesome service in Kenya (TransferTo) and see if they'll listen to your request. If there's enough traffic then I'm sure they can work a deal with PayPal. Thanks.

Hello David, I love your videos they are very informative. On this particular video I haven't verified my PayPal. I followed your instructions and linked my mpesa to my PayPal. I have seen people get banned or their money getting stuck in the platform. My question is, if I have linked my PayPal account to my mpesa do I need to verify my PayPal account?

You don't need Mpesa to Open a PayPal account but if you want to send money from PayPal to Mpesa, you need to link your PayPal account to Mpesa. Just make sure that your PayPal account Name and Mpesa names are the same.
