Back in October of 2020, I spent a little over a week on a once-in-a-lifetime road trip through Kosovo with my good friend Erjan Guxha. I spent two of those days in the national capital, Pristina. This city lies on a plain near the Goljak Mountains, and has a rich history that has roots dating back to the ancient Vinča culture.
The city, like most of Kosovo, has moved on from the dark days of the Kosovo War in the 1990s, and rebuilt itself stronger than ever. That said, Pristina still is often overlooked by travelers visiting the Balkans in favor of other cities in the region like Belgrade, Dubrovnik, Split, Skopje, and Sofia. But Pristina is more than worthy of a visit, and I’ll show you why in this video.

Whether you’re visiting the gorgeous Mirusha Waterfalls and Gadime Caves just outside of town, dining on delicious local fare at Molla Egër Agroturizëm, or checking out the unique architecture of the National Library of Kosovo, there’s something for everyone in this city.
Erjan and I explored sites within the city, like Cathedral of Saint Mother Teresa and the Magic Ice Cheese Factory. We also ventured outside the city limits to the ancient city of Ulpiana, Bear Sanctuary Pristina, and Gračanica Monastery.
And, of course, we couldn’t visit Pristina without trying some delicious qebapa and qofte! But instead of me telling you about what a fantastic travel destination Pristina is, let me show you…
Where have you been?

Well it took me 3 days to finish watching this video, not because of it's length but because I was busy and could not really concentrate on it. Anyhow, I just finished and I have to admit that I don't know much about Kosovo, but I see that there is a lot of history there. One city, Pristina, and so many interesting things that I have learned. David, you are a brave man to go into the cave. I was on pins and needles because I am very claustrophobic and I wouldn't dare go into one. The food with the emphasis on milk and cheese was very unique although, I may be wrong, but the milk and the cheese are to cut the gameyness of the meat. My fellow Trinis will recognize the flat bread made in the oven: looks like our oven-baked bake. The city itself is beautiful and the hotel where David stayed is like living in luxury. The bear sanctuary is huge and those poor bears looked so calm. The lazy hazy dazy days of bear life. Oh well!!. Then going back to the cheese factory was a treat to see how they made the cheese, although the sound cut off and couldn't hear what was said. So finally I am done and it was very interesting and informative. Another one well done. 🙏🕊️🇹🇹🇨🇦

Thank you for a super video of businesses and sites to visit. However, please preserve the structures in the cave by NOT TOUCHING them. The oil on your skin damages the PH balance and causes more damage than you think, because it is a slow process. Also look at all the stalagmites that are broken off because people touched them; something that took millions of years to form. If you did this in other countries, you would be arrested and fined.

David, these things happen when you are simpleton aiming to just stuff your stomach at visually beautiful locations. Imagine that Kosovo is not and have never been a country, a place where one nation lived. In order for it to become country, criminal act by the USA and the UN have been committed which led to similar action in other places, and before that, Orthodox Christian churches have been demolished there, priests killed, mosques build on the top of the ruins, women raped and killed, men killed etc. etc. You should see documentaires where Serbian women still living in Kosovo _AT THEIR HOMES_ refuse to give birth there because the doctors often seem to "help" them deliver dead babies or simply poisoning them so they preffer to give birth somewhere else etc. etc. And I can assure you I am not a Serbian writing this. I am a proud Bulgarian.

David that was a very nice snap-shot of Kosovo. Its disappointing & it sadness me that not once you even mentioned the word ‘Serbia’…. It’s as if the thought & idea of Serbia has been erased from Kosovo (dare I say STOLEN). Unsat bro. What happened there was a criminal act by the West and you bent over and took the whole 9 with a smile on your face. Bro you really should make an ‘objective’ review on the Kosovo region, history, & it’s inhabitants before they got kicked out whilst NATO sat back and watched.
