That these dudes, while gifted with amazing talent don't just bust this shit out....they practice, practice, practice. Watching him do the Victor Wooten cover without the looper was actually quite incredible. Reminds me of some Tommy Emmanuel fingerpicking styles to get full and complete ranges on a single guitar.

No he has said many times that he studies the videos before playing them. Many times when you can't see the bass/hands of the person playing Davie doesn't play that song. I don't think it's necessarily because he couldn't play it, but it would take much much much longer to learn it and he might not play it the same way they did even though it would sound the same. Which would kinda remove the whole point of the video, that he can play the song as they're playing it, not only how it sounds.

Just_Wess HD Definitely not. Youre judging how good they are based off of one play style when atleast a couple bassists shown in this video probably have more experience than davie. And victor wooten is a legend and nobody in this video including davie really compares to his level of bass playing. Besides, its not all about speed especially when youre playing something like a bass. Charles berthoud is also a fiverr PRO and he is above davie in terms of skill
