What I love the most is how the Rampage themes tell the story. Rampage: the calm before the storm. Everyone is setting up and gearing for battle, then the attack starts. Everyone is together to help defend Kamura. And I mean everyone. From assists from every villager. The Hunters, the soldiers, and the commoners. It can all go chaotic at times. But we endure and the next wave prepares. Counter Singal: it is now time to turn the tide of the battle. The four bravest hunters step onto the battlefield to fight the rampaging monsters up close and personal. But war is not pretty. There will be downfall. Everyone is on edge as a dance of destruction ensues. Apex: a monstrous beast suddenly appears and begins to cut down our forces. A monster so powerful we almost stand in fear or run. It displays it’s great feats of power as it continues to proceed to the next area. The hunters gather together as a strategy is made to combat it. Then they attack. The apex still holds them back, but as the battle continues the hunters begins to triumph. Up to the point where each one stands toe to toe with the beast. Then tension builds up until the battle is done and the apex is no more.

The apex part of the rampage theme is one of my favorites to ever come out of the games soundtrack, it’s so tense and badass it makes me wanna do rampages more and more just to take on these armies of monsters all day while this blasts in the background

The themes of the fated four from monster hunter generations are some I’d highly recommend for reactions, they do a huge part in characterizing their respective monsters and the fights that come with.

The rampage theme is definately one to see with a live orchestra! It's absolutely amazing!

My brain exploded when you pointed out that bit with the horns in the beginning and played the little quest departure horn blasts 🤯. You never disappoint to point something out I never noticed in these videos, I love it. Keep up the great breakdowns Davi! 11:21 fun fact, usually at around the 2nd loop of the song towards the end of the rampage at THIS EXACT PART the final counter signal comes up every time I was paying attention to it, so it really is the big, heroic, hunter-inspiring note

May i recommend Velkana's theme she has 4 including the arch tempered version. One of the best themes in MH World for 👍

This was a real treat, 3 in 1! Loved the way the theme started with the prep and the war horns coming in, also the reference to the Narwa theme, I love that they do that! I never noticed the horn (item/quest jingle) in the song until you pointed out.

This is that one song you just can't help but sing along to! I know I'm not the only one who thinks of the scene with with all the monsters charging in once the chorus starts! While it's small, could you cover the quest complete theme for Rise? I'm not sure how much there is to say on it but it's definitely peaceful to listen to!

Watching your analysis reminds me of my first experience hearing this music. Was so amazed by this rampage music.

Rampage isn't the most fun part of Rise but the music definitely gets you pumped and excited during it, perfectly captures the chaos that goes on as waves of monsters pour onto the battlefield, while the start of the Apex theme fills you with dread. Also it's seemed to me like the music of MH is getting more and more "vocal", with many AT and Elder themes in World getting choirs, up to Rise where the themes of Ibushi and Narwa feature actual soloists singing. I'm counting down the days to play Rise on PC!!

My best Rampage was the one where you first fight Ibuchi (so far), it was also when I first saw the Splitting Wyvernshot (AKA TACTICAL NUCLEAR ORDINANCE) applied.

Thank you for this, I did a lot of rampages until 999 and the theme never gets old to me... It makes you move even if tou don't know what to do when you are still new to it, and even if you are being overwhelmed by the amount of monsters attacking, it somehow gives you emotional strength boost especially the counter signal, its feels like its the voice of the people giving you hope that you can defend Kamura. Also, the rampage does feel like its telling you a story of how a rampage works, preparation, installing defenders and planning ahead, then it monsters attack and the situation is being heightened, you get pushed back because installations are being destroyed but it regenerates, then the counter signal pushes you to go further by increasing your weapon's damage, encouraging you to go out there and do damage for 60 seconds. I know a lot of people doesn't like it because its a new feature but I thoroughly enjoyed it just as much farming in the guiding lands way back. Edit : 10:16 yes, its like " danger, danger, might faint, but we can do this " Them same feeling everytime I hear it, feels like some kind of a resolve that can be possibly done. ( I'm no music composer, that's why I hype it when someone can explain why music themes makes me feel a certain way 😅 ) 11:00 " hit the gong! " 13:36 Oh, yes I feel that everytime my health gauge goes lower and lower with every combo I take from the monster and the high note is very intimidating and frightening because you might cart. Yep.

Great analysis as always. I love the Apex's theme and almost wish it could play in the regular Apex quests as well in some way. Can't wait for you to do videos on the Fated Four (eventually) And I hope you get on the Third Fleet Podcast soon too

So this is my first time hearing this theme with you, and as you said in the video, the themes gives off a message that rampag is not just a normal hunt, fate of entire village lies on your hand, people of kamura cheering for the hunters, the ominous nature of themes gives me the feel like something super natural is coming and we better be prepared for it. Btw after watching your videos for a while, I am also trying to figure out the cords like happy and sad cords in my favourite music its fun to try to figure out :p

Hey Davi, just wanted to say that I love your music analysis videos. They're always such a pleasure to watch. You really manage to find the perfect words to describe the feelings and emotions a certain piece is trying to convey. Thats why it would be such a treat if you would give some of the tracks from Nier Automata a try. This game has THE best music in any video game I've ever played, which is a high bar with the Monster Hunter music also in there ;) Some of the best tracks in my opinion are "A Beautiful Song" and "Weight of the World" in the Japanese Version. The latter song has made me cry literally every time I listend to it, along with the singer performing it... It's so beautiful, I'd love for you to dedicate a video to it! :)

You should check out Asimov by 65daysofstatic from No Man's Sky. I remember hearing it for the first time after shooting out of a space station and seeing the planets going by and how epic it sounded. Definitely one of my favorite video game memories of recent years.

Ive been watching all the MH videos, and now that you been doing this one, can’t wait and hope you get to react to the zones from Rise, specially Sandy Plains, all of them are good but Sandy Plains (in my personal opinion) is the best one so far, because it gives a different vibe than the Japanese style, more focused in instruments to represent desert areas (like Legend of Zeldas Gerudo Valley). So I know some people don't really like the Namielle theme from monster hunter world because they feel it is out of place. However I feel it kind of has a silly and cheesy spy motif and I find that kind of fitting for Namielle as a monster. I was just wondering if we could ever get a video on Nami's theme because I would love to know your interpretation
