I feel like this monsters "possession" of a hunter could be a more psychological effect. Imagine wearing the armor, claws and fangs of this beast while you hunt. When you hunt with such weapons it gives you a feeling of power, making you feel strong and invincible, even fierce when confronting the monsters of this world. Power corrupts, Absolute Power corrupts absolutely. Just my thoughts 😅

This most likely won't happen but it would be cool in Sunbreak that Malzeno is such a problem that we get a mission to capture Magnamalo and bring it to fight Malzeno. I just want another hype moment of Magnamalo coming to help like it did with Allmother Narwa.

Supposedly, the hellfire is based off of nitrogen trioxide (triodide?), which has a similar coloration and has violent reactions when force is applied. Magnamalo may be producing a gaseous form of this chemical compound. The fact that it has the same dietary habits of Deviljho could imply that Magnamalo also evolved to develop abilities in order to compete with Elder Dragons, but seems more manageable compared to the insatiable Brute Wyvern.

God I love Magnamalo. I felt some strange camaraderie when it showed up to fight Narwa. Though it is but a beast, it still fought alongside us.

In term of yokai inspiration there 3 yoaki that fit magnamalo inspiration 1. Inka onibi (shadow fire) this onibi said if follow it lead you near by yokai, in magnamalo cutscene he uses his hellfire to lure tobi kadaki to patches of hellfire which both resemble of inka that magnamalo. set it a hunter can make this patches by removing the hellfire by wirebug forward. 2. Onryo and kayako have both share same personal and idea there vengeful and malevolent spirits who seek vengeance to who killed them in first place, in magnamalo description "magnamalo is said be spirit of all fallen warriors and people that death in rampage (night parade of 100 wyvern) and magnamalo is there physical manifestation" this also proof that magnamalo show up in allmother narwa fight where he ignored the hunter and insisted attack allmother narwa seen this caused of rampage and it source which fit the 2 vengeful spirit description very well.

When i first saw magnamalo i thought he'd be a poison focused monster because purple= poison but hes so much cooler

My sister kept telling me that strategy was key for this. As she had to captured the monster given she was top level and couldn’t beat it. After dying for the second time. I got pissed after hours of fighting. I went in guns blazing and slashing through this monster. I worked shockingly well 😂

I hope we get an Apex form for Magnamalo.

Hellfire to me seems more like fancy blastblight with a pretty violet color.

What i love about Magnamalo is how it gets stronger by feeding on monsters during the rampage in a same sense we the hunter is the perfect opponent for this monster considering we ourselves get stronger by killing monsters using the bits we salvage and gain their strength to boost ours.

I really don't like Magnamalo at all, but I do like that they give an explanation for the hellfire and it's name is pretty cool.

If Capcom wasn't made up of cowards the Magnamalo would have pulled a Nergigante and just fucking eaten Narwa when she was weakened.
