Africa, like the rest of the world, is struggling to recover from the twin shocks of the covid-19 pandemic and Russian war on Ukraine. At the same time, regional governments are constrained by tight finances, unequal access to external funding and increasing debt burdens. What policy actions are needed to enhance economic diversification and unleash the private sector’s potential in the region? Join CNBC Africa from the World Economic Forum in Davos, for a conversation with key government and private sector leaders on the African economic outlook for 2023.

Stop going outside of the continent to discuss issues of your Home continent, deal with African issues within the continent,

what difference does it make where the issues are being discussed? The most important thing is that they act on their discussions and make the continent better!

I just don't understand the African continent which is sitting on all of the world's natural minerals also Africa has almost 1 trillion dollars in pension fund money also some of Africa's largest banks have over quarter trillion dollars in deposits so why don't they make their own Davos🤔

The really big private investment opportunities of the future (and, even the present) are in Africa. Once movement of capital becomes more easy and reliable and efficient, great great things will happen. Movement of money and payments need to move forward, in a more and more frictionless way, maybe blockchain finance will allow Africa to “leapfrog” to the most efficient and fair systems. I’m not African, just a small-time American conservative white guy investor who married an amazing African woman. Would love to have “Future spectacles” to see Africa 100 years from now. This panel is the most serious conversation at Davos.

Africa lacks an educated workforce, infrastructure and institutions. Free movement of capital will lead to more corruption and malinvestment unless the other issues are adressed internally.

Hundreds of millionaires flying around their private jets talking about sustainability. Hypocrites.

Talks, talks and more useless talks that get the continent nowhere. Africa needs only one thing; decolonizing its mindset to stop putting the same racist colonizers on pedestal and expecting them to save us from the corrupt leaders we choose out of tribal affiliations instead of issues and safeguard of our interests.

Tribal affiliations are a problem, but Africa needs investment too.

'Reigniting Growth in Africa' What is growth? An enabler, a condition of possibility, a resource, etc If Africa define, conceive growth that way, the issue becomes not 'Reigniting Growth in Africa' but what Africa do with growth? Because if millions and millions are poor in Africa despite all the blessings of God in terms of natural resources that have allowed human fulfilment, people well-being in other cases, the structure of the question to answer shouldn't simply be ''Reigniting Growth in Africa' Growth being a product, how that product, that resource is allocated, how growth is distributed, what sense it has in people's practical lives should be the issue. Because the missing term strictly wasn't the means, the resources are a sort of means, but Africa is famous of her poverty and other miseries.

In mainland China, in Beijing, on the red wall of the "Tiananmen" tower, there are permanently hung "Eye--Catching" of 7 big red characters: “世界人民大团结万岁! ”/"Long live the great unity of the people of the world!". If China and more countries is willing to actively cooperate with Africa, contribute its wisdom and strength to help African people get rid of poverty, build a new and eternally beautiful Africa, and let African people and people of the world walk together to enter a happy life in the world, will it be another major progress of human civilization. "世界人民大团结万岁! "/"Long live the great unity of the people of the world!"❣️

Patrick Njoroge was excellent to stop that farse of Pan-Africanism. He is okay with each being unique. Europe isn't a country and are diverse, and so is Africa. It's a continent with unique countries and needs
