Davy is such an amazing villain because he actually has a backstory. He was betrayed by live, and he became a broken man. He's not evil, he's hurt and feels betrayed. And I think what makes him hurt more is that he loves her so much that even after everything she put him through, he still loves her even though he doesn't want to.

This tune is still one of my favourite pieces of movie music. It has so much dynamism to its tone. You go from the soft, sad lullaby of the music box to the lamenting rage of the pipe organ. Nice job putting lyrics to it guys.

In a sense Davy Jones is the Dracula of the seas. Both great men capable of great love, forsaking their humanity and turning into literal monsters in the process once the love is cruelly taken away. Not exact a copy of each other of course but they're not so different. Amazing cover, congrats to both! we all know and hum the Pirates of the Caribbean theme and it became so iconic and popular, but THIS will always be to me the very best song of the entire soundtrack!!!

Davy Jones is honestly a really cool character design. His love and passion drove him into villainy as he became a literal monster from having it used against him, and despite the past he shared with Calypso turning him into that state, he can never forget her no matter how hard he tries.

Davy Jones 100% needs his own movie where he falls in love with Calypso, and looks after those who died at sea for 10 years and then at the end of the movie we see him happily waiting for Calypso, but she doesn’t show and then we see him scream in anger as the sun sets and break down in tears.
