A demonstration of the off-road abilities of the Unimog 416 Doka in the lush grassveld of Mantsole, in the North West Province of South Africa.
This particular Unimog 416 is fitted with a hydraulic torque converter transmission, enabling it to pull heavy loads in excess of 100 tons from a standing start, such as moving trains or aircraft. It is fitted with the standard, 1960s-issue OM 352 naturally-aspirated diesel engine, and is mechanically standard in all respects.
