We get a lot of American television series here in England, but I've never seen this one, amongst my favourites are The Phil Silver's Show, Happy Days, and it's spin-offs Mork and Mindy, Laverne and Shirley, I've also watched Hogan's Heroes, Dukes of Hazzard, Car 54 Where Are You, the Munsters, the Addams Family, and The Cosby Show, and other sitcoms also Sci-Fi like Star Trek, Wonder Woman, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, etc, and Western Dramas like High Chapperal, Bonanza, Laramie, etc, and police Dramas like Kojack, McCloud, Streets of San Francisco, Hawaii Five O, Starskey and Hutch, just too many to list every single one, and these American programs I've watched alongside our UK programs of sitcoms and dramas from the 1950s onwards naturally repeats of the old programs as I was born in 1966

MaryAnn got me through the angst of my teen years. Still today at 67, she fits into my favorite "type" of attractiveness in a woman. In those days, getting typecast into a role was often a death sentence for an actor. Too bad in her case. I would have continued to be an admirer - if only to be able to see that over the top lovely face. I know. Dawn Wells. Such a beautiful lady and my childhood crush. In fact, that carried over into my adulthood.

The character of Mary Ann was always my favorite to watch. I wanted to play the part of Gilligan because he got to see ( and in several episodes, kiss) both Mary Ann and Ginger every week!

She absolutely will be one of my first crushes of all time. Not sure if it was because of her but I've always been rediculously attracted to wholesome appearing women.

I had a poster of Dawn on my bedroom wall at 12 years old. That was 56 years ago. She was the unobtainable Goddess.

Dawn Wells was beautiful, especially to a 7 year old little boy. She seemed much more relatable than Ginger. RIP Miss Wells...

Dawn played a small part in Columbo 'It's all in a game' written by Faulk. She was in a party gown and looked fantastic. To 'the great looking 'Girl Next Door' Thank You!

I remember when Alison Arngrim was attacked in public by people who hated the character she played on "Little House on the Prairie". Nellie Oleson was a character we loved to hate as her antics seemed evil and wicked especially since they usually made victims of the Ingalls children who were adored and loved by household all over America. Eventually people began to realize that she (Arngrim) was actually doing a great job at playing Nellie and we all learned how to take that particular "make-believe" as the family entertainment it was meant to be. Even with its "villainous" moments and characters the show became an American icon.

I loved the comments about Gilligans Island and that was the one that enquired; "If they can build a film studio on the island, why can't they get off?" Well, thats a Hollywood Contract.

Dawn Wells proved the perception that once you've had the perfect role, you never shake it. I liked her, but Gilligan was my favorite. Skipper was next. Denver's best role was I think his first, as Maynard G. Krebbs on "Dobie Gillis."
