Join us for Day 2 of our family self-driving adventure in Phatthalung, Thailand! Our plans for a boat ride at Lake Thale Noi were dashed by heavy rain, but that didn't dampen our spirits. Instead, we set out to explore the nearby attractions and were pleasantly surprised by what we found.
Our first stop was Sampaothai, nestled amidst picturesque rice fields. This hidden gem offered more than we expected - from a charming petting zoo to exhilarating zip lines for the kids. And let's not forget the Instagram-worthy giant dragon and gorilla sculptures crafted from rattan!
With the weather still overcast, we decided to indulge in some local shopping at the Thale Noi market. We snagged some fantastic bargains on beautifully woven bags and souvenirs, making our trip even more memorable.
As the rain intensified, we sought refuge at the Chaloem Phrakiat Bridge viewpoint. Despite the downpour, we braved the bridge, capturing a stunning family photo amidst the misty backdrop.
Hungry after our adventures, we made our way to HLNG Cafe for a late lunch. Set against a backdrop of lush gardens, the cafe provided the perfect setting to refuel and relax.
Our culinary journey continued as we explored Phatthalung city, stopping at the Train Station Night Market. A paradise for foodies, the market offered an array of mouthwatering street food delights that satisfied our cravings.
