Years ago my family had a Cocker Spaniel who learned the sound of my dad's truck at the time. She would jump up on the windowsill in our living room and watch him. As soon as he got to the door at the other end of the house, she jumped down and made beeline for him. I think she might've learned the sound of mom's vehicle, too, but I can't remember for sure.

Little Frannie looked so sad at first when she didn't recognize Postman Dan's new truck. Once she figured out it was really him, she ran so fast! Little girl has so many expressions and ways to let you know how she feels. Oh my gosh, she's so expressive. Today is five years since we adopted our little Bailey so it's a very special day for us. ❤

@@c.s.2110Thank you for your kind words! Bailey is a Havanese/Pomeranian. She's about the same size as Frannie (they kind of look a little alike), and I can't imagine life without her.

Frannie's little squeals are precious!! She was so worried her man Dan wasn't coming around the corner! She was so excited when he came around the corner and stopped at the 📫 I thought she was going to turn inside out!! Her tiny denim jacket looks GREAT on her!! ahhh, Frannie, Postman Dan got a new Metris! these are the new vehicles replacing the LLV that Miss Frannie knew and loved. Be happy for Postman Dan, he now has a heater and air conditioner, a radio, and less noise as he drives along. so many of us mail people are partially deaf from driving the LLV (we gonna shake, rattle and roll!)

This is cute. Reminds me of a rottweiler that lived down the street from me as a teen, though he had a very different attitude. He was a big tough guy named Tank, had to make sure all of the scary people walking down the back alley knew that was his yard. Total suck in any other situation. He got to know me, would give happy barks when I walked by, try to get head scratches. However, any it time snowed, or the snow melted for the first time in a while, or on the occasion I wore heels, he would try to scare me off when I approached. Tank recognized me by the sound of my footsteps, anything changed them, and he didn't know it was me.

I can tell by the sound of the van when the mailman is coming too 😊 I have stray cats that come running when they hear me lock my car and the gate opens. I giggle at it all the time, I used to have dog's that greeted me when I come home now I have stray cats😺
