This week's video rates 10/10 for chill factor and good vibes 😎 We find ourselves in a small, uninhabited atoll in the Tuamotu Islands of French Polynesia...one of the most truly incredible places we’ve ever had the pleasure of dropping our anchor. In our line of living, breathtaking natural beauty is something we’re almost constantly surrounded by. But man, was this place special. Before I sold everything and traded a life of answering emails for sailing, I used to think sailing would be an epic journey. That every day would be an insane adventure. Which it kind of is….but in some ways, it’s also just… living. Not every day is a life or death battle with a squall, spotting land after weeks at sea, or swimming with a baby humpback whale. Some days, we just exist. And today is one of those days. So in this episode, we’re gonna slow things down a bit, and give you the raw and real version of what a day in the life really looks like for us. And today, we invite you to grab a cold one, kick back, and come along for the ride 🏝️

Loved it. As a dad of three (our oldest is about Sierra's age) it's nice to see how you guys are doing it. Sometimes I get a bit envious of your lifestyle. We live in Indiana and treasure any chance we get to see an ocean or a mountain. It's encouraging to see that even in the middle of paradise, your daughter will still dump her spitty coconut water into your cup, haircuts are still itchy, and home maintenence is still a struggle. Thanks for the reminder that your shit's your shit, there's no escaping it, and that finding the beauty around you is the only way through it all. 'preciate you all.

This is the way. I watch to be relaxed and live vicariously through your adventures. This style of video made me feel more connected to your day than any other video. It is fun to ride along with you all on adventures/crossings but the feeling that this video gave me cannot be beat. Pure relaxation. Oftentimes I find that KZfaqrs feel the need to keep everyone entertained by trying new or crazy things. With your channel it is not necessary. This video was great

I've been a devoted follower of Delos for eight years, witnessing the various shifts in your production style, and I've come to appreciate each one. Exploring the intricacies of diagnosing and repairing things on the boat has become a source of enjoyment for me. It's fascinating to observe the dynamics when you have a crew, witnessing their interactions and the adventures you embark on together. The ASMR sailing videos, in particular, offer a serene escape from the daily grind of my landlocked life. This episode provides a delightful glimpse into your extraordinary lives. You are truly fortunate to live the life you do, and your willingness to share your experiences and adventures is a blessing to those of us who find inspiration in your journey. Thank you so much.

Agreed. And also, when you're 8 yrs old up to the mid teens, you can still recall the early years, and places visited can appear in your dreams. So they continue to shape you as you mature into an adult.

Sierra, the little Mariner, will remember this with every fiber of her body, in a way that all of us growing up by or on the ocean feel a kinship with it. She will be at home on any coast and just dipping a toe in the water will be the same ocean she played in as a kid, no matter how far we have traveled since. I hope this message reaches you guys, and reassures you of what a wonderful gift you are giving her for life❤

I loved this style of recording that shows you guys just having a normal day. By the way, I can never get enough of the underwater footage. You asked an amazing question, "will Sierra remember this all" truthfully, you and Karin will have full memories and Nugget will have warm glimpses of fleeting short memories that will last her a lifetime and reminder her of how much you love her. Cheers and fair winds (from snowpacalypse Chicago area).

Really enjoyed the slower pace, I think if I were sailing around the world, this is what I'd hope most of my free time would be like. That said, I can't remember a single episode that I haven't totally enjoyed, fast pace, slow pace, the long passages, buddy boating with friends, even the boat work videos, you always do such a great job of explaining the process involved to make upgrades and repairs...

So dreamy! I'm really glad you include these slower-paced island breaks. The ultimate beach fire on an atoll without footprints... I doubt I'd ever be able to compare that to anything in my experience! White unblemished sands... you are correct in rating this a 10/10!!! And Sierra is picking up entire sentences from her parents. She's growing before our eyes. Her "woo-hoo!" signoff never gets old! :)

This video is as close to perfect as anyone could every hope for. I can’t imagine a more vivid real life example of paradise, true love and happiness. We all know your life is not always perfect but I can’t imagine anything better that having a beautiful wife and daughter who truly loves their daddy and husband. I have no doubt that Sierra will remember living in paradise and helping her mom give her daddy a haircut on an uninhabited island in paradise. I love this laid back video production and wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks for who you are and what you do.

My girls are no longer girls, 38 & 40 respectably, but I think 4-5 years of age is a golden time in a parent's life! Children develop just enough independence and they're personality blossoms! Sierra's comments always crack me up, put a smile on my face and remind me of when my girls were little girls! Can't say I like one video style over the other, I like them all! It looks like paradise and appreciate you sharing your adventures with us!

The time lapse of the stars really hits me in the heart. As you know and anyone who has been someplace truly dark the stars are breathtakingly beautiful and overwhelming. There’s so many and you can’t focus on them all at once. The stars take on a three dimensional feeling. You stare and focus and the stars are endless. I miss the open ocean ! Thanks for taking me along.

I always enjoy watching your videos and long to be 20 years younger to "sail away!" You were wondering if Sierra would remember these early years. She of course will have these amazing videos to look back on, but a photo book is always great to have sitting around. My mother always took pictures. Of course, this was back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s when you had to have your film developed. She would put the photos into a photo album and if it was raining out, too cold out, or just too late in the evening to go outside, my sister and I would go to the bookshelf and look at the photo albums. Kids love to look at pictures of themselves. It's because of these photos in the photo albums that I DO remember things we did around the house, older family members, and celebrations at a young age. Now, when we have family holidays, family reunions, birthdays, or vacations, I take a lot of pictures and put them into Shutterfly photo books, for each family. My son who lives in California and who we only see once a year, said that when I sent them our last get-together photobook, the kids look at the photo book every day, instead of playing on their tablets!!

I am fortunate enough to travel and see some of it, but I'm always inspired by your videos to go out and see even more of it. Your wife has the biggest beautiful blue eyes and she seems intelligent and level headed. Your daughter is the same age as my granddaughter. They grow so fast. Thank goodness for video to capture them. So you can relive their cuteness as toddlers and babies. I enjoy your scuba diving photography and your drone shots. Last but not least I enjoy seeing someone living a life millions of us can only dream about. Your knowledge of all the devices on your boat is amazing how you can repair it all your self. Loved how "chill" this episode was. It's funny... during the pandemic, I randomly started watching a few sailing channels and got hooked. I'm not a sailor, but I'm a lover of the ocean and nature. When I went on the hunt for another sailing channel to follow, yours kept coming up as one of the top ones, so I randomly picked an older video to watch, and honestly, it just wasn't my vibe and that was that. Fast forward to a couple of months ago, I happened upon your Pacific crossing series and was blown away. How could I have gotten it so wrong about your channel?? lol After watching that series, I went back about a year and binge watched until I finished the most current video. Then I went back and binged watched from 2019 and I'm almost back to the beginning again. Now, you're my favorite channel and I will be becoming a patron as soon as I start work again. I absolutely love your content, and have enjoyed watching Sierra grow up in such a unique environment. What a lucky girl! I'm also a diver, so watching your whale encounters and the grouper spawning was especially breathtaking. Sorry it took me so long, but glad to be part of the Tribe now! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures and I look forward to seeing what's next. Cheers :-)

Fabulous video, THANK YOU. As for Sierra remembering: very few children will have such a complete set of early memories, because looking at the videos will keep them fresh in her mind. She'll even have clear pictures of how her parents met, and the years before she was born, from those. She'll watch the wedding, and wish she had been there. And as for the events at a certain hospital in Sweden, four years ago - that, too.

I like this slower style. We have 3 little girls and often ask the same question. “Will they remember this?” What the do when they are 4 helps create who they are when they’re 6 and what they do when they are 6 is both impacted by what they remember and will create who they will become at 8. And so on. We find they forget what we thought was important and remember in happy detail what we thought was mundane. It’s a beautiful life you have there and y’all always seem to appreciate it to the fullest. Cheers from snowy Pennsylvania.

You've been part of each and every Sunday for so long. I never write but had to respond to this episode. I definitely noticed the different edit style in this one right from the start and found it really warm and chillaxing. This one was also just so visually stunning. Some of those drone pullbacks were just mesmerizing. And of course it feels special to be included in these special times in your family. I could almost feel that fire on the beach. I really enjoy the mixture of these different tones and paces of your episodes. The adventure and exploration, culture, nature - underwater especially, and to feel included in your community. You provide such a generous window into your lives and your peeps. And the quality of your shooting and editing just gets better and better. So I dig it all, and now especially the occasional slow groovisode like this. Thank you.

Yep “There is for sure something about that “Beach Fire Taste” coupled with a fun day working up an appetite like no other hunger and enjoyment of food EVER. You Video took me back to where I was born and raised KEY WEST, Fl in the 50’s and 60’s you could go to the beach and their were times no one else was there. Our family would go out and cook a whole pig in the ground surrounded by Palm Fronds. A night sleeping at the beach watching the stars and storms in the distance were so amazing. All of your videos are good. They are certainly a balanced mix of the Variety and Spice of Life the comes with your journey around this beautiful planet. Thanks for the 7 years I have enjoyed watching. I’m chronically ill so the videos bring me hours of enjoyment seeing you enjoy a beautiful life sailing. Hopefully Sierra enjoys growing up the way I did I loved growing up Swimming, Boating, Fishing, Camping. My dad and his buddies built Shacks on Stilts 14 miles from land and on weekends we would spend our time out there in the Shacks and Islands in the Sea. Take care and enjoy your days while you’re still able. Bless your family. Valerie

This was a most enjoyable episode. I know I should comment more often and would prefer to be out there instead of living vicariously but life is how it happens and making the best of what is possible. The way this episode was done is as cathartic as any of the relaxation and recentering options available to reduce stress an escape from the burdens of what is necessary daily, please consider similar features going forward. With thanks ⛵

I had a very nomadic start to my life, my parents were hippies in the 70's when I was born and we lived on a hippie commune, then in a shared farmhouse with another family with a kid my brother's age, then we lived in a converted school bus that my parents drove from Ontario to Alberta, where it died. I have quite a few vivid memories from age 2-6 that there are no pictures of, but I can describe details of places we lived and places we went. You might be surprised how much Sierra remembers! Once my parents settled into a more traditional lifestyle when I was 6, and enrolled me in school, my memories became a lot less vivid, probably because my days were all kind of the same for the most part.

incredible video. 1. that palm tree is overachieving 2. music really made the slower moments hit 3. food stuff really hits when so remote. Campfire ribs on an uninhabited atoll? Perfection.

This was a good one to watch, love when you have Ciara in your videos more, watching her grow up is the best of all, been watching you guys for 6 years now and I enjoy watching her having fun, she’s a lucky little girl to be able to grow up traveling the world.

Very beautiful place! Never seen such a "deserted island" before! The colour of the water, the sand, it's paradise

It was a refreshing change. I have seen a lot of the world through your video's. My son is coming to visit us in Marco Island FL and wants to visit the Dry Tortugas. Everyone asked what that was. I was able to give them a pretty comprehensive explanation from what I have seen on your videos. I have never been there. I have been following you guys for years. I saw one video and then had to go back and watch from the beginning. I miss Brady. Thank you

I think that is really what "existing" should be. Best kind of crazy I've ever seen. I'm very stuck in traditional right now - corp job, home, family, animals, kids/school/soccer - not struggling but not able to pull the plug to live that life. Maybe in a few years if retirement works out and spouse agrees... That water, views, and sea life there is just incredible. Thanks again for sharing the world with us. I can't say every video should be like this, but I TRULY enjoyed this one - very relaxing while I handled e-mails and multiple teams channels discussions. Donate for a Dream

Love how you are spending a year (2) visiting Polynesia. As Magic Carpet likes to say -- exploring the world as slowly as possible.

I expect you will have an overwhelmingly positive response. I sure liked it. For each of our grandchildren’s 18th birthdays, my wife put together a video with pictures of them over the years. Sierra will probably get a video of snippets of these videos over the years.

Incredible episode. drone footage, time lapse night stars and that amazing beach with fresh coconut's. Major family fun and all to yourselves. Sierra seems to be enjoying herself. Well you've shown us how fantastic it can be but I've always told friends paradise comes with a price so now maybe show how bad it can be sometimes and just how fast it can happen. Been watching your channel since Brady first came on board and have never been disappointed. Be well all.

This episode really took me a way. A friend in high school and I talked about sailing around the world after graduating. We never did. That is a big regret of mine, especially as I watch this. Thanks for taking me with you in your videos.

I remember when I was 2 and breastfeeding. Crazy. She will remember awesome experiences with her sweet family. That's what counts. Plus you have this digital library for her and her children.. . And on and on. It's awesome.plus when you two are old you can start at episode 1 and reminisce 😊

Boy, this was nice and relaxing. I really enjoyed the minimal music. It really gave the feeling of being on a deserted island without a sound system following you around. So peaceful. Thanks for the calm

This style video is great in my view. But then, I love all your work. Brian … I’m so very envious of your lifestyle. This place is absolutely beautiful. I live vicariously through you and your family but at this point in life, such adventures are out of scope. Thanks so much for including me on your journeys.

Great episode! I’d love to see you fishing w a lure all around the island, maybe some underwater hunting? I could watch that combo every week. You know, just life stuff, but slightly diff each week. Where this style is the norm, and the jobs, and rest of ur more “regular” content becomes the exception…. Just my thoughts?! Love what u guys do!!
