You had two genius ideas! the 5 conductors plugs, and the rubber tubing (vacuum hose) on those connectors! thanks!

Glad it helped you out! 👏😎

Ditch that cheapo 5$ relay moduel . Use something with an industrial rating. Just an FWI.

11:21 Hello ,again. I bought the box you are using here. I was originally going to use a large plastic ammo box but with the Z- axis driver I was afraid it would be too crowed. Not to mention not enough air circulation. I like the organizational approach this box provides. BTW the connectors you bought, does this kit provide enough of the correct configuration for the project ? Thanks, once again Demon

Awesome, yes it makes organizing much easier. You will have some people (such as the other commenter) who thinks the box has to be Metal for interference purposes. But with today’s technology and low frequency start plasma cutters, as long as everything is grounded and shielded properly, you should have no issues. Mine is working just fine. 👌

I used the HF ammo box. Now that I have the THC, I am wishing I had used a larger enclosure
@JPSTREETPERFORMANCEАй бұрын
@@_lumpy8859 how are you liking the THC?
@williamlanphar630Ай бұрын
@_lumpy8859 that was what I was thinking as well. The one I ended up using has plenty of space.

Do you have the part number for that enclosure?

Hello, once again. The expandable loom you are using, is that 3/8" ? I tried contacting the company and the closest i could come to what i thought was the number they said was 3/8". Just want to verify before i order. BTW the # they gave me was x001104165. Also, the connectors you used at the motors, are you happy with them? Just want to make sure before i shell out $150 on a kit. Thanks again. Demon

Yes it’s a 3/8 loom i used on all wires, then just some heat shrink at each end to close them off nicely around the pass-thru wires. As for the Connectors at the motors they work and look great for me, only hard part is making sure you get a good crimp on the tiny 22 gauge wires as the connector terminals are technically for a larger gauge wire. I found that stripping the wire further then folding it over on itself to bulk it up helps with crimping.

Thank you. One more question ( famous last words hahaha). The arduino sits in that clear tray. I've mounted everything but the relay ( screws I got were too big ) and the power supply, to the backer board. I was about to begin the wiring and was concerned about using bare hands on the boards. The arduino fell out of the tray while I was securing it to the board and I picked it up by the edges but I'm not sure how touchy it is to static charge. What I can see from your video you were wiring bare handed but I didn't see you directly touch the arduino or the relay so wasn't sure if I had an issue or not. Thanks.
@JPSTREETPERFORMANCE2 ай бұрын
@@williamlanphar630 I've had no issues with being bare handed, however, I only handled the non circuit areas of the board and relay

I just wanted to touch bases with you one more time. Since I last spoke with you I spoke with JD and asked him what gauge wire he used for the jumpers in the box and he said 18 gauge. I tried to locate pins that would allow me to make up jumpers to " simplify " the installation. Try as I might, I was unable to locate pins that would allow me to insert the wires and crimp them. I had taken the precaution of buying some pre-made jumper wires . I could o ly locate 24 gauge jumpers. I spoke with some electronics guys and they all said that should be sufficient. What I want to know is what gauge wire did you use to connect the Audrina, Motor drivers, etc. I would really like to get past this point and make some progress again after this long delay I have had. Thanks as always.
