Not too bad, i think its gonna have a problem sliding around your shop tho, even with the wheels are locked. ( depends on the speed of the head and gantry moving around ) The desgine and size is good. The little belt tensionser is good, a little thin tho, but good. Electromics look standard, and the motors look sized properly/ over sized. ( i kinda skipped along, i didnt get a chance to see your pinion gear size, i assume though its smaller than 1in ) Good build, would like to see this thing cut now. I built my cnc, but ive always wanted a plasma table. ( cant put it in my house though lol ) 🙃 I would maybe recomend a splash guard, this is gonna throw shit everywhere in the shop 😂

Shouldn't be an issue with the casters, mine is solid

Miter saw junk for metal. They spin too fast. A metal chop saw spins much slower.

Definitely need a metal saw for for metals that aren't aluminum...

Looks good

thank you!

You might have some problems with not having a metal enclosure instead of plastic one. A lot of static interference from the plasma cutter with give you problems.

Good to know, i’ll give this a shot, if the Drain wires are not sufficiently enough i’ll switch things over to a metal box if need be. Thanks!

Use EMI sheild on the USB to PC and it shoukd be fine. ( need to find the highest quality USB you can, any distance over 8 feet you need a USB powered HUB to keep the voltage over the distance good for signal ) Use opto couplers on limit and button switches and switch to 12v buttons and limit switches. That EMI everyone is worried about kicks back on input lines to the controller. ( usually, like that's the Normal mode of fault ) Inputs like: - external switches, hold, run, stop - USB interface - probe and limit switches Solutions: Isolate inputs ( use opto couplers to isolate the comouter, keeps the 5v logic lines shorter ) Use 12v for buttons and limit switches ( using the opto isolation boards you can seperate thr 12v from the 5v lines that go to the comouter ) 12v can travel further and experiences much less issue from EMI triggering it, the boards you can get usually have filters on them and some basic protection. Keep your high voltage lines far away from the controller and drivers. Also grounding the machine is a good idea, otherwise the entire device is going to throw off a charge 😂 Also look into aomthing called an EMI jacket. Its a 1in ID sheeth ( looks like a chinese finger trap ) of woven tinned coper. You solder a wire to ground and then sheeth the plasma or spindle wires with it 🙃 I use this on my CNC and itts the best [ note: you will have to wrap this shit, it can fray and its sharp af and may rub something eventually )

Don't worry about the EMI from the lotus plasma it will be fine. I would be worried as to where you have mounted the elec box, it is going to get covered in water

@@superdidly1 he 100% needs a splash guard all the way around that 😅

@@RoboArc I have a 25' USB cable and it works fine and dandy. I was originally concerned about the length but its working.
