Today is the day where I hike on to Reds Meadow and the tramily goes into Mammoth Lakes. We will meet again sometime soon! Reds told me that O was the first to pick up a box this season! Pretty cool I made it through this early. Thousand Islands climb was incredible!
Mile 902.7 - 923.8 (21.1 miles total)

You said "If God's creation is this beautiful, just imagine His house!" What a profound statement. It put a huge smile on my face, Boujee 😊

Believe me, that coyote is waaaaaay more afraid of you that you are of it. It's all good. Stunning views! Thank you and stay safe!

BOUJEE! I love how you view everything and how you let your light shine. You have been a blessing for your trail mates and I know they will miss you. Something you said in today's video reminded me of John 14:2-6. Just wait, the best is yet to come and can't be found in Far Out.

I have to say of all the KZfaqrs filming their hikes, I think you do the best at sharing the scenery. We watch every one of your posts. Thank you for helping me experience something that I am unable to enjoy.

I don’t have other social media and have been off media since 2014 really! But social media can be used as a tool for good and for others to enjoy something they might not be able to do! I’m glad I can do that for you! Thanks for joining the tramily and being a part of the family!

Gorgeous view is Mt. Ritter and Banner Peak, at least made famous by John Muir himself. Great clouds day! I hope you lay down some serious miles in the next few days.

you are making the best decision to do all this now before your career begins, wish I had been motivated back when I had the opportunity, respect.. did the BSA thing, summer camp and weekend backpacking, but nothing near this experience

Coyotes are scardycats, be aggressive and tell at them. If a yell doesn't work, use the whistle on your chest strap and blow really hard (cover your ears first, that whistle is piercing!). Cache your bear can away from your tent, at least 50 feet away, you can also grab a few rocks to throw of they keep sniffing the bear can and they'll get the message.

The last time a saw a Coyote I was camped on Mammoth Pass so not to far from where you saw your Coyote. They sniffed my bear can a few times ad then ran off. It was about 6 in the morning and I was still in my tent.

We would not worry too much about a coyote, now any of the other bigger critters that is a different story. Since you did hear someone yell, it might be a good idea to hike inbetween other hikers, still keeping your distance to have the wilderness experience, but in case of need to know that some other hikers might hear you as well if needed. Hope you have an emergency whistle with you as well. Absolutely stunning trail, thank you so much for sharing and stay safe.

Just like, all you’re trying to do is go to bed, well.. all the coyotes trying to do is…. walk on by. He preferably wants to pounce into a mouse hole and have that for dinner instead of your food.
