Another cracking day out Adrian. Totally agree that a spot is so much better when you are completely secluded from people. Not an easy climb but always worth the effort and no path means no people... ha, and then you found a road 😆Quality set up as always and you kept your view. Yes it's been surprisingly cold for June I had a camp up north last week and it was feel like temps of 6! crazy stuff. You definitely look better in the morning than I do hahaha Lovely camp all in all 👍

Hi Gez, yes a great secluded spot found, I checked the map and the road goes the wrong way so I could not have used it, but I could have gone up the bike track !!!! Who knew lol Cheers Adrian

Hi and thanks for watching, yes I bent a couple of pegs, had a couple pop out mid evening but managed, worth it for the views of the valley, unless I made the climb we would never have seen the valley from high.Glad you enjoyed them. cheers Adrian

Thanks for a rare glimpse of the Cheviots, I passed through on the Pennine Way during Hurricane Ali and have always wanted to return to explore in more peaceful times. Lots of Roman history in those hills as well 👍

Hi Deka, still areas I have to explore, local North East knowledge like yours always a help, 22 years up here and still learning ! glad you enjoyed it, I had to get up high to fully enjoy the valley views, I do prefer the hill tops for that reason, I will explore here further, coming down there on a mountain bike ! Iwas nearly on my back with poles !!! Thanks for the coffee cheers Adrian

Another successful adventure! I enjoyed your dry sense of humor with the “shady tree” joke…. didn’t realize it was a joke until you mentioned it! 😸 Have you thought about taking a light-weight camping chair on your trips? Would make reclining and looking at views quite comfortable. Cheers from Pennsylvania! 😄
@northumberlandmountainhopper
@northumberlandmountainhopper 4 күн бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching from afar, glad you enjoyed it, I am thinking of a light weight chair, sub one kilo, certainly would make it comfortable, I normally just lie back, as a bad back/hamstrings does not allow sitting at right angles ! just the extra weight, i am happy with around 12-13 kg so it gets heavy, cheers from me Adrian here in the the uk

Strange how much condensation there was. Like you say, it's probably due to shower during the night. So many new potential spots to try.

Hi and thanks for watching, yes a great new area, I will run out of life time ! before I see all the Cheviots never mind anywhere else lol I had to go high to get the view of the valley, the grass was only damp so the wringing wet tarp must have been condensation from my heat, unless it rained early in the night and it dried ? cheers Adrian

Hi and thanks for watching, As an avid meat eater I agree plant based alternatives are awful, but these Bens plant powered foods are great, they use beans etc instead of meat, there are three, Chilli non carne, Tikka Masala, and Spicy Lentil Stew honestly great cheap camping food with a pack of rice, more filling than normal camping meals. cheers Adrian
