Who wants to snuggle? (Besides Benji.) Bring an extra blanket or towel and a pillow to the mat today for this restorative practice. Wear something extra comfy! Lay that extra blanket down if you like, and let’s snuggle up to the sensation and rhythm of the breath in today’s gentle floor practice.
Today’s practice is nice and slow and low to the ground. Medicine for the legs, the hips, the torso, and the spine. But also hopefully some feel good medicine for thine heart too.
Don’t miss it. Get on the mat today.
Note: If you don’t have any of these extra props, don’t worry, just come as you are and it will still be really snuggly.

This session continues to help us learn about the philosophy of yoga too. For example, snuggling up to the role of the observer has changed my whole life. Off the mat, this practice has allowed me to pause more, and notice my reaction before I make a choice on how I want to consciously react to that emotional response. This has helped me to be a better listener, to move with more mindfulness, and to act with greater intention and purpose.

Like when she offered modifications for that cobbler balancing pose... I had to do it with one leg, I tried to do the full pose and as I was sitting on a pillow I fell on my back 😂

If you have headphones turned up I just discovered you can hear Adriene's heartbeat! I thought it was my own, but when I paused it stopped. It must be the position of her microphone! That was so magical

I haven't been doing these daily but been doing them chronologically as I can fit them into my life and as it feels right. In the 3 years that I've been doing these 30 day journeys this is the first year I've allowed myself this freedom without guilt and shame and have enjoyed the practices so much more because of the self Love that's come with that allowing. I'm so grateful to be growing in this direction and with such an incredible guru. Love you Adriene

I am also doing these chronologically not daily. Its like a box of chocolates, to truly enjoy each session you might want a few breaks. Also I am a shift worker, so there are times when "doing what feels good" =sleeping

Today's practice was very hard for me, even though physically it was the easiest one. I didnt feel as if I deserved taking such a long break to just relax. My mind was jumping from one thought to another and I almost quit after fifteen minutes. But I remembered why I started practicing yoga with you years ago. I remembered that this was exactly the place where I needed to be at that moment. So I stayed. And I am incredibly grateful for that. Thank you very much Adriene for everything you offer to so many people in this world. And thank you to everyone else for practicing as well

Being still with ourselves is super difficult. Don't give up. There are some days you can do it better than others. Try to just observe that without judgement.

I feel the same! The hardest practices for me are the ones when I have to sit still and close my eyes. My mind is always racing and I get cross with myself for not being able to sit still. I feel you

After waking up feeling quite anxious about writing my thesis, finding a job, a place to live etc. etc. etc. I got up to do this practice with all of you beautiful people to calm my mind - I’m sure it will work. Today I am sad. But i'm on day 8 of this pratice and I am learning to breath and let go. I spent most of this practice with tears running down my face, letting them flow with my breath. This snuggle is what I needed. To be kind to myself, accept this pain and these emotions, breath out and let them go. Reading the kind & encouraging comments makes me smile a bit. That's happened to me countless times! Whenever I say I'm going to yoga or meditate my husband calls it "dormitate" as he's often found me sleeping afterwards. Or he catches me at the end of the Adriene video commenting and laughing at the comments and he's like - you're not really doing any exercise are you..?!

It IS a reward. People ask me sometimes, “how do you make yourself exercise everyday?” My approach is in complete opposition with this line of thinking. Every day my body functions well enough to allow the movements/breathing techniques of yoga is a gift to receive. So, it’s never a matter of “making myself” do it. It’s a matter of accepting one of life’s precious gifts and never taking it for granted.

Thank you so much, Adriene, this was a beautiful session. I did it yesterday morning and it helped me so much. I hadn't been to the dentist in years, because of extreme fear, and in the afternoon I had to undergo a root canal treatment. I did this session in the morning, making me feel calm and safe, and in the dentist chair I went back in my mind, back to my mat, where it was just me, the earth and my breath. I got through and felt so proud and powerful. Thank you, Adriene. Looking forward to the rest of the 30 days.

It honestly made me a bit emotional to listen to you talk to us and yourself so kindly because I realized that being so hard on yourself is not going to work. Lately I’ve been realizing that thinking that I want to do something like finish my thesis or work out, I want to do it because I deserve the results it gives me and the peace of mind instead of being way too hard on myself and saying I’ll be a failure if I don’t

I don't know about anyone else, but the practice today made me very emotional, especially at the end, laying down. I started to tear up when I realized that I could -and I hope this doesn't sound silly- snuggle up to myself, my soul. And feel held by myself. So often in my life I've been looking for someone else to cuddle me and hold me and make me feel safe. After this Leo full moon I told myself I was going to let go of the need for someone else to make me feel safe, and create it myself. And here I am, laying on my mat all alone-feeling like an infant held by their mother but it's all me. Thank you Adriene, you have no idea what your videos have done to really change my life.

As a therapist, one of my main messages is "you are the expert of you." This particular practice was a beautiful expression of that. Day 8: It says some things about me that I waded through the first week of practice, in spite of aching muscles and poses I'd never seen before, and kept up every single day, and it's this kind self-care practice that I put off for an entire day instead. It's been a long, hard, strange, terrible week, and I am being kind to myself this weekend. I'm glad to have had this. I'm glad to have brought myself to do it. I knew it would be warm and good and feel good to do, and I let it slide away for a day and a half because, well, I didn't need to push myself and force myself to do something that felt GOOD, did I? I only got myself to the mat by reminding myself that I wouldn't feel able to do the hard, important things if I didn't get through this nice one first. The nice things are important too. This was worth my time, not just as a necessary unskippable step in the thirty days, but on its own merit. I'm glad to have done it. Everyone else was on Day 9 today, but I'll do Day 9 tomorrow, and if I stay a day behind for the rest of the month so be it. I'm still not alone. Thousands of people are a day behind, or two days, or three. Thousands of people will find this sequence in the future, next week or next month or next year, and it will still be worth it. We all move at our own pace.

I can move my ears and let me tell you I can store stress in them 😂 but when she said to relax them I just imagined that moment where my floppy eared dog is focused so hard on something and then it ends up not being a concern, and his ears just flop right down back to relaxation mode 😍

Loved this restorative practice. A nice reminder that exercise doesn't always have to be hard work and sweaty. Sometimes some nice gentle stretches is exactly what my chronically tired and in pain body needs

I was struggling with loneliness and anxiety last year and dreading going into a new term of my masters degree and the stress of the workload. I couldnt sleep last night and was so glad knowing i had Snuggle session to start my morning and slow my mind. The connection of this Journey is so reassuring in a way. That’s absolutely true. I don’t say I don’t have rough days, but I notice that I’m starting to feel less anxious about those moments and I’m like “breath and it will get over “. Shakespeare said “Come what may, bad days shall pass, exactly like all the others.” and this is a mantra it helped me my whole life. Grüße aus Deutschland back ☺️

I did today's practice in the corridor as we're in lockdown and don't have much space, with my housemates all around me making lots of noise on video calls and walking through the flat. It was definitely a disruptive environment which feels very familiar when my mind gets super busy and it's hard to ground or focus on my breath. It wasn't perfect and it was hard to follow the thread throughout but it was pretty useful practice for when things are really hectic and when this kind of practice comes in most useful!

When i opened my laptop and say "Snuggle" I knew it was going to be a good class. That guided shavasana was exactly what I needed at the end of a busy week, and I even dozed off for a good 20 minutes at the end! Thank you Adriene!

I have not been practicing with Adrienne lately. I have done the 30 day yoga challenges several times, but have gotten into more Pilates and strength training. Today something told my I needed YWA and I feel like I’ve been welcomed home and embraced. I needed restoration and I was drawn to the title “ Snuggle” for a bedtime practice. My autonomous nervous system thanks you - just what I needed and every kink and sore spot is magically gone. Namaste 🙏

This fantastic channel came to my life last year. And now it's my 300th day in a row with Yoga With Adriene. And I just want to say - thank you. Some days I am excited, some days I don't feel like it, some days I have schedule so tight, it seems impossible, some days I can hardly get out of bed. But every day is a little better with you in it. And it is worth it to stick to it and have something to hold on. You are amazing and sweet and strong and you make the world a better place.
