Celebrating sending back the bear can and ice axe and you have a keyboard ? ! Sawyer Squeeze filters have a lifetime warranty, (up to 100,000 gallons) if you dont let them freeze and back flush them as recommended.

I know you just got rid of your bear can, but can you talk a little more about it? Did you keep your bear can in the tent with you at night? Or did you put it outside your camp, as recommended? What are you storing your food in now? Is it in a food bag, and can critters smell it?- xoxo Ray Ray

Correct Lassen does require a bear canisters. However the park boundary is only 19 miles end to end so most hikers just simply hike through it. 🥰

i like to know what parts of the pct, do you need to switch from a bear bag to a bear canister? no one ever explains that!

To my knowledge thus far, bear cans are required through the Sierra and Lassen Park. I know in WA there are points where food storage is required so either a bear can or hanging a bear bag. I’ll be sure to let you know as we find out. Thanks for following along 🥰

That’s rough going and hiking all the while taking care of blisters, wet feet. After this a 9 to 5 job would be easy. This is more like boot camp
