2 жыл бұрынAnastasia is an ABRSM grade 3 piece that I learnt during the break between my piano lesson terms. It was mostly ready when I first played it to my teacher but she helped me give that little extra.
I'm happy with how this piece turned out. Though the day of the recording I took more attempts that I would have liked. Most of the attempts were good, but I really wanted the recording to capture the best I can play this.

This sounds fantastic! Did a great job with it. If this is one of your grade 3 pieces, you'll breeze through the exam!

Thanks. I have no intention of taking any exams at present. I'll see how I feel about them when I start working on pieces from higher grades. For now, playing the graded pieces is more about finding pieces that are suitable.

Very inspirational! I am an even older duffer giving the piano a go, so checking others progress spurs me on a bit. I'm currently murdering Elgar's rather fabulous Salut d'Amour in grade 3. Have you had a go at that one?

Thanks. No, I’ve not looked at that one just yet. I’m sure my teacher will suggest it at some point. I think for a little while I’m going to go back to some easier pieces. Some of these grade 3 pieces have felt like a grind. I need some light relief.

Well played as always😊 is this your favorite tempo for the piece? I played it really slow in comparison to your interpretation, but that's just because I felt like it need a little more room to breathe.

Thanks. The tempo crept up. This is probably too fast. It’s faster than the mark by a few BPM. I feel it does need to be faster over slower to feel it in the correct meter though.
