Stripfooting! I now wish I had attended the Space Gass training session. I think I'm pretty proficient in the software but there is always more to learn!
@bengthebrazilianengineerinAus16 күн бұрын
Yeah we always learn something new. I've learned lots of new things that I may not use much though. If you're proficient you probably know most of the things you need to carry out your normal job.

Your videos are really inspiring would love to see a strip footing done on spacegass. Would also like to see a pile and pile cap design with spring stiffness on spacegass if that can be done.
@bengthebrazilianengineerinAusАй бұрын
thanks my friend. Pile design can be done in pretty much any software that offers spring supports. The biggest challenge is getting the correct Geo factors

Hi Gabriel, i love your channel. It would be interesting a video about the complete process of a structural design, applied to a real example. From design considerations to the interpretation of software results, with real numbers. There are no videos on this platform (There are some videos but they make you want to sleep) that apply this concept in a dynamic way like you do on your channel. Greetings!
@bengthebrazilianengineerinAusАй бұрын
Hi Matias, thanks for the feedback and suggestion. A complete design is a long process. Any specific type of structure?

Brother any timber or simple residential building design. Like from scratch, all load calculations n then software n results checks whatever a real project needs. Because as a student we are not finding this at anywhere

@@bengthebrazilianengineerinAus Hi Gabriel! I see that most of the videos on this platform spend a lot of time explaining the modeling process in the software. I am referring to a tutorial explaining some pre-sizing concepts, and then the analysis of software results, to then do the structural design and verification of the global stability of the structure. Perhaps it could be a simple metal structure such as a warehouse. Greetings from Argentina!

Does the bridge grillage have full torsion stiffness or 0.2J for example?
@bengthebrazilianengineerinAusАй бұрын
I have to look into it again. I can't remember, but the results compared to a simply supported beam are very similar so I'd guess I didn't change any stiffness.
@andrewrae8064Ай бұрын
@@bengthebrazilianengineerinAus never mind the 0.2J seems/torsionless design seems to only be for beam and slab composite decks. Love the videos 👍
